RESPOSIBILITIES AND ACCOMPLISHMENTS:
Diagnosis, treatment planning, communication and motivation of the patient.
Advise radiographs and other related investigations and interpret the same to reach a definite diagnostic conclusion.
Patient education regarding the current condition and explanation of treatment modalities.
Conducting relevant dental treatment procedures independently with emphasis on restorative measures.
All regular dental treatment procedures including scaling and polishing, restorative works, prosthesis with crown and bridges, RPD & FPD, extractions, excisional and incisional biopsies, excision of peri-coronal flaps, diastema closure, minor orthodontic correction using removable orthodontic appliances, RCT- anterior and posterior, restorative works with light-cure composite and dental cements, placing dental sealants etc
Alveoloplasty, frenectomy, gingivectomy, habit breaking appliances like oral crib and oral screen in children, ART, Apexification and Apexogenisis.
Developed my communication skills and worked to remove the superstitions regarding dentistry whenever or wherever possible.
Maintaining patient’s records and recalling them for follow ups.
Advising dos and don’ts to the patient after oral/dental procedures.
Being an old dental establishment located in the heart of the city, I got chance to deal with patients of different socio-economic strata which in turn helped me understand different beliefs and developed me into a better understanding human being.

RESPOSIBILITIES AND ACCOMPLISHMENTS:
Worked as a junior resident in the department or oral medicine and radiology
The daily patient inflow of the hospital is 300-500 patients and this department other than dealing with specific cases acts as the screening point of all the patients coming to the hospital, handled by 7-8 doctors, myself being one.
Always having been drawn to diagnosis and treatment of oral conditions, have spent the year of my residency carefully examining and studying oral conditions like lichen planus, leukoplakia, oral sub mucous fibrosis, lupus erythomatosis, benign and malignant lesions, myofacial pain dysfunctioning syndrome, oral thrush, trigeminal neuralgia and a variety of other cases, thus honing my diagnostic skills to maximum
As a junior resident my job didn’t end there but all these cases were carefully recorded, treatment plans drawn and patients were recalled for regular follow-ups. This has sharpened not only my practical but also my academic acumen.
Developed patience and am more empathetic to the patient’s mental and physiological condition.
Humbled by my experience with people battling cancer and pre malignant conditions stoically and these experiences make me strive to become a better dentist so I can assuage the sufferings of people in pain.
In emergency department, dealt with road traffic accident patients, bear mauls and other patients with maxillofacial trauma and learned to stabilize patients with intraoral and extra oral lacerations and maxillofacial and dental fractures.

RESPOSIBILITIES AND ACCOMPLISHMENTS:
Did my internship from two hospitals which exposed me to people of two entirely different regions, cultures, religions and beliefs.
Worked in all departments with equal dedication and completed and even surpassed my work quota in stipulated time frame.
Done restorations using dental amalgam, dental cements, light cure composite and other restorative materials.
RCT of anterior teeth, pit and fissure sealants, temporary fillings with CaOH.
Complete denture and partial denture prosthesis and all procedures involved like primary impression, secondary impression, jaw relations, recording of posterior palatal seal, denture insertion, trimming and follow ups.
Administered local anesthesia and carried out extractions of anterior and posterior, extraction of root stumps and even extractions in pediatric patients.
Assisted Apisectomies, marsupialization, enucleation, and dis-impaction in the department of oral surgery
Learnt to read and interpret IOPA, bite wing and palatal radiographs n diagnose oral conditions and lesions in the department of oral medicine and radiology.
