Worked as a Consultant Electrical (Electrical Engineer) from Sep 2012 to Feb 2013 at Saudi Technologist Consulting Engineers (SATECH) on Saudi Electricity Company (SEC) Projects,
Key responsibilities are:
Consultant Electrical:
➢ Provide consultancy of Electrical works for 110/13.8KV Substations.
➢ Provide Consultancy and Client Side Management and Supervision Services.
➢ Responsible for project control procedures, logical scheduling, progress monitoring, QA/QC and OHSE application and awareness.
➢ Supervise that the erection and commissioning work is done at substation as per given Saudi Electricity Company (SEC) standard.
➢ Make sure that the materials/equipments used at site are as per given specifications/ Standard.
➢ Examine and control the construction activities related to Electromechanical installation.
➢ Provide contribution to prepare logical Construction Schedules and administration of Safety/ Loss Prevention activities.
➢ Assessment of design review, if needed, as per Project Technical Specifications and Technical Engineering Specifications.
➢ Review and certify "As Built" Drawings prepared by contractor's team and to ensure the accuracy and compliance.
➢ Arrange weekly, monthly and annual progress meeting to complete work within scheduled time period.
Construction Engineer:
To supervise installation and Termination of M.V panels such as Medium Voltage Switch Gear (MVSG) controlling panels.
To supervise installation and Termination of Power Transformer (13.8/0.4 KV) and Power Cables.
To supervise installation and Termination of L.V Cables/Panels such as MDB, MCC, MCP, DP, ATS, Power Panel, Lighting Panel, UPP, Capacitor Bank etc.
To supervise installation of all electrical wiring inside and outside the building such as Lighting, Power, VAV, CAV, AV, EO etc.
Installation of Earthing and Lightening protection System.
The solution of different problems between Electrical, Mechanical, Civil and Low Current by coordination meetings.
Monitor material supplies and its conformity to the required specifications.
QA and QC Engineer:
Here, I also performed the duties of QA & QC Engineer.
Making sure of all Electrical Installation as per given standards.
Generate and approve RFI from consultant (Dar Al-Handasah).
Creates snag lists of balanced work in entire building.
Complete the balanced work as per given description.
Operation & Maintenance Engineer:
I also performed the duties of operation &maintenance engineer.
I have also performed the duties as a Team Leader (Operation & Maintenance Electrical) in buildings names as Ambulatory Care center, Cardio Vescular Centre, Ancilary Building, Medium Voltage switch Gear Building, Domestic Water Tank, Generator Building etc.
Independently to execute the maintenance team for troubles shooting, repair or day by day maintenance activities.
Worked as a Grid Station Incharge (SSO-1) from July 2005 to Apr 2011 at 132KV Grid Station New Airport Lahore, in Lahore Electric Supply Company (LESCO),
Key responsibilities are: ➢ Construction, Commissioning, Operation, Maintenance and Protection/Testing, of 132KV/11KV Sub Station/Transmission Line system.
➢ Operation and Maintenance of all Grid Station Equipments such as 132KV control panels, 11kv control panels, circuit breakers, CT, PT, rectifier, earth mesh etc.
➢ Check and Maintain voltage level (11.5KV), Load (A), Oil level, and Temperature of power transformer and SF-6 gas pressure in 132KV bus bar (GIS) system.
➢ Checking of DC batteries gravity, electrolyte level, terminal voltage, voltage stability, load (AH), and temperature and maintaining DC supply.
➢ Electrical Switching, Relay Testing/Calibrating, Meter Testing/ Calibrating, Isolation and De isolation, Electrical Drawing.
➢ Power Transformer Protection system.
Over current protection, Earth fault protection, Differential protection, Buchhloz relay protection. Over temperature protection etc.
➢ 132KV/11KV Switchgear control panel protection system.
Over current relay protection, Earth fault relay protection, Distance relay protection.
➢ 132KV/11KV Line protection system.
Distance Relay (Impedance Relay) protection system, Over current protection. Earth fault protection system, Differential Protection, Earth leakage resistance protection.
➢ Arranging different types of protection and safety tests for different protection equipments at Grid Station.
Power Transformer Tests •Insulation resistance (Megger) test, Oil DES test, TTR test, C& DF test, Moisture test.
132KV/11KV Circuit Breakers Tests• Contact resistance test, Breaker opening closing time test, Insulations resistance test, Vacuum test, Hipot test, Vadal test, Dielectric strength test, Refilling of SF-6 Gas.SF-6 Gas pressure test.
11KV Power line Tests • Moisture test, Insulation test, Capacitance test, Hipot test.
Worked as an Electrical Supervisor in Hafeez Shafi Tanneries, from February 2002 to November 2003.
Key responsibilities are: ➢ Supervise and Manage all Electrical related problems in tannery.
➢ Installation and maintenance of lather processing machines.
➢ Maintaining Supply of power for the factory using WAPDA connection and Genset, refueling of Genset, O&M of Genset.
