•Leads Site Engineers and design personnel in technical excellence and growth in the Quality Improvement Process.
•Performs field inspection and provide field support, as necessary during construction phases
•Provide response and technical solutions to RFI's raised by Contractors, Operation and Maintenance teams
•Arranges meetings between the contractor and concerned departments to resolve interfacing problems during construction.
•Witnesses contractors' quality control inspections to ensure that the permanent works are constructed according to the contract, applicable codes, standards, approved drawings and specifications (i.e. Pressure test, pre-commissioning equipment startup, and final commissioning)
•Delegates the authority among the project team for the execution of the project construction program, will monitor these construction activities for compliance with established schedules and budgets
•Monitors the progress of all project functions and reports on their status to the Division Management and Client as required. Gives particular attention to reporting matters affecting project overruns or delays and makes every effort with Division Management to rectify these conditions
•Reviews all work for compliance with the contract documents, specifications and/or approved IFC. Identifies out-of-scope work requirements and prepares required contract change notices for client approval.
•Obtaining drawing & material approvals, conducting technical review meetings with consultant’s client & suppliers for major equipment and systems to be used at site to obtain approvals
•Liaising with client & consultant representatives for specifications/ technical & BOQ clarifications required for tenders and proposals
•Coordinating & following-up with sub-contractors/vendors for necessary documentation
•Reviewing subcontract schedules, finalization of subcontract works and taking necessary approvals from the senior management
•Guide/Advise in managing and upholding the Fire and Life Safety (FLS) across all projects and operating assets
•Oversee and manage all FLS including projects/operating assets under development as per approved project FLS plans / documents
