and Responsibilities
•Responsible for running initiation protocols, calibration protocols, bi/tri level - controls on various laboratory analyzers at scheduled time prior to running patient samples.
•Reconstitution of reagents, loading them to the analyzers and maintaining the logbook and expiry schedules.
•Proper preparation of patient samples and running the test- protocols.
•Primary evaluation of test results, reconfirmation of abnormal results for discussion with chief laboratory technician or the head of the department.
•Routine collection of internal quality assessment data and plotting of L.J charts.
•Preparing samples for shipment to outside laboratories for tests not performed locally..
•Reporting any technical difficulties to the head of the department or the chief laboratory technician.
•Participation in the departmental and external CME programs.
