Responsibilities
• Work as part of the level 2 team to assist and resolve windows core and network Premier Support service requests for Gulf/MEA region which includes in-depth troubleshooting of
o Hyper-v virtualization and windows related issues in VMWare environment
o Windows Clustering and NLB in Physical and virtual environments
o FSRM, File and Printing Services, Workfolders, DHCP/IPAM, DNS, NPS, MBAM and windows networking and security components
o Root cause, Crash dumps, Slow logon, System Performance, Windows updates, Windows time and other services Failures
o Licensing, activation, KMS, Backup and VSS failure
o IPSec, Branchcache, DFS-N, NPS, Direct Access, Windows related network issues and network monitoring
o Providing Support on Windows core and networks break-fix, troubleshooting and advisory cases
Heading/Management of complete Enterprise IT & ICT and Internal IT Support Departments with following projects and responsibilities:
• Implementation and Management of Multi-site AD Infrastructure for 1000+ users and machines with Multi-site MS Exchange/OCS/Lync 2007/2010 BES integrated Email Servers, SharePoint Portal & Records Management and unified communication with full integration with Huawei Soft switches, Asterisk PBX and Multi-site (6) Polycom HDX MCU Video Conferencing Devices, AD Direct Access/VPN Reconnect Servers, Corporate LAN and WLAN( cisco WLC) and Juniper Firewalls, MF Printers, Polycom/Cisco Conferencing Stations, Backup Servers, SCCM, ForeFront and Patch Management Servers
• Migration to newer infrastructure
• JIRA Based Helpdesk & working on its upgrade to SCSM
• Reports Automation and dashboard via SQL Server 2008 R2 SSRS and SSIS
• Implementation/Management/Optimization of MOSS based corporate intranet Portal, workflow automation & paperless environment
• Assisting procurement for the evaluation of requirements for Servers/desktops/laptops/IP phones/other IT equipment & services
• Creating Capex and Opex budgets
• Coordination with Vendors like cisco/juniper/dell/Lenovo/Intel etc for procurement warranty & repair
• Continuous Improvement in IT infrastructure and Advising other depts regarding their IT needs
• IT/Security Policies Enforcement via AD GPOs, Firewalls & Switches and Monitoring Via SNMP & Syslog
• Wataniya-Maldives OCS & MOSS implementation for paperless environment
• IT Support to all ROs, DC, Care Centers Bahrain/Doha HO as well assisting Jordan & Philippines Opcos in Ent IT ops
• Also active part of different selection committees especially visiting universities and shortlisting candidates & interns for diff dept
• Management of Microsoft based licenses & agreements
• Working on all Qtel-subsidiaries AD/OCS/Exchange/SharePoint Federation POC

• Complete Buzz (SharePoint based Group intranet with Globally Top 10 Rating) virtualized data center migration from Sleek UK Data Center to Ooredoo Qatar Data Center and handover from ITWorx (Development vendor) in Agreement with IT Data Center and Information Security Teams
