Maintenance and troubleshooting of Biomedical Equipments clinically as well as technically.
Handling technical & operational activities of installing Biomedical Equipments.
Provide training to new nursing staff on medical equipments installed in ICU.
Maintain the documentation for Biomedical Equipments.
Updating the inventory of all types of medical equipments installed in the hospital.
Coordination with service personnel of various medical equipment companies.
Follow up the Preventive maintenance schedule and calibration schedule for medical equipments.
To follow up with the vendors for any breakdown under annual maintenance contract equipments.
Update the aging list on daily basis for medical equipments.
Meet with in charges of critical care departments on daily basis.
Responsible & accountable for overall Operation of Biomedical Engineering Department.
Responsible for Procurement and installation of over 2000 Biomedical Equipments.
Oversee the functioning of Biomedical Equipments in MES medical college & hospital, to maintain its downtime to minimum.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Will ensure the proper functioning of biomedical equipments in the hospital.
• To arrange preventive maintenance programmes for the trouble free functioning of all equipments under biomedical department.
• To carry out regular check-ups with regards to functioning of equipments.
• To prepare schedule for orientation of equipments handling for newly inducted technical trainees.
• To make sure that junior staffs are engages to attend all demands from, ICU, OT, casualty, floors and other important departments.
• To follow up items sending outside source for repairs.
• To make ensure about all correspondence of the department and proper filing of the correspondence including AMC correspondences, calibration reports and service reports.
• Preparing check lists and carrying out the scheduled preventive maintenance & calibration of the equipment on due date in coordination with end-users and suppliers.
• Repairing the assigned or given equipments within minimum down time.
• Works involved using hand tools such as multi meters, soldering irons and delicate testing and measuring equipments.
• Assigned departments and keeping of accurate records of time and materials used in the performance during these duties.
• Maintaining the inventory of the equipment in assigned areas.
