• Monitor, record, and report symptoms or changes in patients' conditions.
• Maintain accurate, detailed reports and records.
• Record patients' medical information and vital signs.
• Consult and coordinate with healthcare team members to assess, plan, implement, or evaluate patient care plans.
• Monitor all aspects of patient care, including diet and physical activity.
* Provide assistance in activities of daily living.
NICU:
• Provide critical care to premature and sick newborns
• Manage IV lines and incubators
• Monitor symptoms of terminally ill babies
• In addition to providing around-the-clock care to these patients, offers support to the parents
• Administering medications, monitoring vital signs and providing vital nutrients to newborns
• Keep, maintain and update records of the patient's care.
Operating Room :
• Communicate with and educate parents on day-to-day operations as well as home-care procedures.
• Plan individual pre and post surgery care for cases.
• Ensure pre surgery protocols, tests, and x-rays
• Keep the shift news board updated with latest record of patient vitals taken during regular rounds in the surgical ward
• Sterilize and arrange surgical equipment and make the operation room ready for procedures
• Scrub in surgery when needed, assist with handling of equipment during and after the operation
• Monitor, record, and report symptoms or changes in patients' conditions.
• Provide rapid assessment and treatment to patients in the initial phase of illness or trauma and often in life- threatening situations.
• Understand triage.
• Identify the medical problem
• Document medical history
• Check for any allergies and current medications
• Taking blood samples, cleaning and bandaging wounds, administering medications and maintaining proper supplies of medical equipment.
