I was working in Al Mansoor Enterprises LLC, a leading Manpower Supply/Facility Management Company in Abu Dhabi established in 1971 with major clients in the oil/gas/petrochemical sectors like ADNOC group of companies i.e., ADNOC, GASCO, TAKREER, ADCO, ZADCO, BOROUGE, ADMA-OPCO, ADGAS, NPCC, NDC, FERTIL, ETISALAT, Abu Dhabi Airport Company, Arabtec, National Construction Company, Emirates Steel, Petrofac, Abu Dhabi Ship Building etc. to provide manpower in Engineering /Technical/ Non- Technical/ Administrative/ skilled and semi-skilled. Approx.: 3000 employees were working under Al Mansoor Enterprises.
My duties were as under:
• Identification and development of new business opportunities in UAE Market.
• Prospects for potential new clients and turn this into increased business.
• Set up meetings between client’s decision makers and company’s practice/principals.
• Organize the preparation of new tenders.
• Participate in pricing the solution/services.
• To liaise with the business development team and financial department to capture all necessary information for quotes.
• Handling Objectives by clarifying, emphasizing agreements and working through differences to a positive conclusion.
• Identify client’s requirement and direct solution support to address the requirement.
• Responsible for tender evaluation and submission.
• To administer the preparation of quotes.
• Headhunting - identifying and approaching suitable candidates who may already be in work.
• Using candidate databases to match the right person to the client's vacancy;
• Identify potential areas for marketing opportunities locally, inter nationally with client companies, building relationships to gain a better understanding of their recruitment needs and requirements.
• Receiving and reviewing applications, managing interviews and tests and creating a shortlist of candidates for the client;
• Requesting references and checking the suitability of applicants before submitting their details to the client;
• Using candidate databases to match the right person to the client's vacancy;
• Organizing interviews for candidates as requested by the client;
• Negotiating pay and salary rates and finalizing arrangements between client and candidates;
• working towards and exceeding targets that may relate to the number of candidates placed, a value to be billed to clients or business leads generated;
• Reviewing recruitment policies to ensure effectiveness of selection techniques and recruitment programs.
• Travel abroad for recruitment campaign.
Worked in Star Services, Abu Dhabi, have entered in several manpower supply contracts with major clients in the oil/gas/petrochemical sectors like ADNOC group of companies i.e., ADNOC, GASCO, TAKREER, ADCO, ZADCO, BOROUGE etc.. Company also has agreements with ADMA-OPCO, ADGAS, NPCC, NDC, FERTIL, ETISALAT, TAMDEED, AMMROC, MUBADALA, DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORT, ZONESCORP, ABUDHABI FOOD CONTROL AUTHORITY etc. to provide manpower in Engineering /Technical/ Non- Technical/ Administrative/ skilled and semi-skilled and has different kind of business in all over the UAE and abroad. More than 4500 employees are working under Star Services payroll.
My main responsibilities were as under:
• Involved in day to day operations pertaining to clients and staff.
• Actively involved in business development activities including bringing in new accounts.
• Complete all required and appropriate works to get registered and pre-qualified with all government/semi government as well as major private sectors where there is scope of business.
• Attend meetings regarding to new business with different clients.
• Involved in tender’s preparation on behalf of my company, liaise with all tender team members to ensure accuracy and compliance with customer requirements.
• Liaison with top management, assist in the development of strategic plans for operational activity.
• Liaise with client’s different department managers to ensure a full understanding of their requirements and preferences.
• Source cost effective and appropriate channels, both locally and overseas, to have a wide pool of suitable, prospective candidates available.
• Handling large requirements of clients relating to Manpower supply locally and internationally.
• Responsible/ coordinate to client’s management relating to achieve organizational objectives.
• Maintain close relationship with clients and prospects.
• Draft and review staff contracts as well as clients contracts.
• Present reports on the current projects, future opportunities and client issues.
• Conduct all kind of inquiries and solve the problems regarding recruitment/ project issues.
• Coordinate between company and clients management.
• Handling all issues involving employee and clients complaints or questions.
• Working with finance department in processing attendance and payroll for employees.
• Ensure appropriate communication at all staff levels
• Used to travel outside the UAE for recruitment campaign.
• Familiar with UAE Labour Laws.
As Self Practicing Lawyer (Full Time) Apr 2004 to April 2010
I have dealt more than 100 cases on behalf of my clients and obtained the judgments during this period.
Work and methodology:
(Contract, Labour & Civil Laws)
• Understanding of the nature of the cases of the clients through legal documentation available.
• Studying the cases on the basis of Clients information and available circumstances.
• Filling of the application in the courts/Tribunals as applicable.
• Follow up of the cases in the court and pleading the cases before courts.
• Obtaining the Judgments of the cases for further actions and filling the same for future references.
• Regularly updating the clients for the status of their cases and timely actions needed on their behalf, if any.
• Filling of the appeals to the higher courts of law, if required.
