Spearheading the Regional office migration from Deira to Al Barsha. Involved with different vendors for a hassle free transfer. Ensuring that the network, VOIP & VPN services are up and running before the migration. Ensuring minimum disruption to business units.
Liasoning between the various business units and support function during the migration to avoid disruptions
Spearheading setup of VPN tunnels to carry voice and data between 4 regional offices, 18 satellite office, 1 regional distribution center, 13 local distribution centers & 1500 retail outlets.
Implementation, Upgrade & Migration of approx. 800 users plus associated resources on ADS.
Identifying the security & business needs, selecting the most appropriate solution & setting up the firewalls across the regional office and approx. 1000 retail outlets.
Setting up scheduled application back up and disaster recover. Monitoring the application & network performance and load balancing.
Setting up of an IT Servicedesk, defining the Issue escalation processes & SLA, managing a team of 7 dedicated technical support team members.
Escalating the IT Training needs of the regional office to the IT Training Manager.
Coordinating with the IT procurement team for any hardware & software requirements.
Assisting the Regional IT manager with Budget planning for the new financial year, using various business planning tools like COGNOS, MANHATTAN BP, etc.
Feedback of existing applications to improve and update according to the growing demands of the clients and customers.
Assisting franchise/business units in every aspect of IT operations during the initial period.
Supported various brands during the migration phase or setup of operations in the Middle East (system perspective).
Requirement gathering for new brands, new processes and new business units.
Suggesting solution to business requirements.
