• Purchase local & import FMCG brands for supply to manufacturing plant, Wholesale, HORECA and E-comm channel.
• Procure and manage retail products under grocery, pantry, canned food, frozen, chilled, organic and vegan categories.

• Manage overall warehouse stocks by proper stock counts, cycle counts ensuring products have sufficient life for selling.
• Developed sales reports to asses’ products and category performance thereby focusing on listing/delisting of products.
• Project and promote new products to existing E-comm & HORECA sales team contributing to an overall business growth.
• Oversee procurement, logistics and warehouse staff, review their tasks and distribute work and contribute individually.
• Globally sourcing fresh food produce based on seasonality, quality and costs to supply wholesale and retail customers.
• Analyze market trends, plan new product launches and procure items in food and non-food categories in retail business.
• Expanding product and brand assortments by identifying customer choices, market trends and competitor’s strategies.
• Managing entire order fulfillment cycle, optimizing inventory for efficient sales contributing to overall profitability.
• Work on retail pricing for each product prior to launch to meet required margins whilst staying competitive in market.
• Increase vendors’ database based on pricing, payment and delivery terms’ adhering to company’s purchasing policies.
• Managing customer orders, maximizing sales and running time-based promotions so as to stay competitive in the market.
• Forecasting future demand based on current sales patterns and procuring stocks through air and sea shipment planning.

• Managing a key vendor - Sainsbury’s - one of UK’s leading retail supermarket chain and handling 1000+ products since their launch and ongoing extension of range. Managing their complete cycle from product selections, DM registrations, initial order placement, retail pricing, future order planning, analyzing product movements, delisting of slow moving lines.
• Plan and purchase regular volumes of food and non-food items from world's largest suppliers for exporting to Africa.
• Food items procured consists of Frozen Meat, Poultry, Beef, Pork and Fish from Brazil, Argentina, Chile, India, China, Canada, Australia and several European countries; Dry food categories such as Nuts from USA; Spices from India; Wheat flour, Pasta, dried fruits, chocolates, candies from Turkey; Sugar, Maize flour, Biscuits, Cookies from Brazil; Rice from Thailand and Vietnam; Cooking oils from Malaysia and Brazil; Canned meat from China, Portugal, Brazil, Europe.
• Non-food items procured consist of cosmetics, soaps, insecticides, electronics, food packing laminates, electric bulbs etc.
• Yearly purchase of $10-12M of items spanning 200+ SKUs with a freight forwarding amounting of $1 million.
• Remote management of $3M+ inventory at warehouse levels and managing internal inventory transfer through ERP.
• Price monitoring of commoditized goods and forecast market conditions to negotiate buying at optimum prices.
• Demand forecasting and stock management to book items with required quantities at right time to achieve savings.
• Manage and Release purchase orders in a timely manner to procure right quantity at optimum price at the right time.
• Compare, analyze and negotiate quotations from different suppliers to select the best option to buy all products.
• Negotiate and establish contracts with suppliers to generate overall savings through volume discounts and better quality.
• Maintain vendor relationships through constant interaction and continuous negotiations by conducting due diligence.
• Regular discussion with senior management on market trends, price fluctuations and its future impact on sales.
• Identify, develop and register new vendors based on their capabilities, quality of supply, pricing and payment terms.
• Develop new products and portfolios for the company after thorough market research and inform to various departments.

• Formulate new policies and procedures and ensure the team adheres to them without compromising organizational goals.

• Demand planning and purchasing food packaging materials for local and export markets from pre-registered vendors.
• Lead procurement of various construction materials, machinery, spare parts, electrical equipment, lubricants, chemicals, consumables, stationery, and facility managed services with procurement team for in-house and trading unit.
• Monthly Demand forecasting of regular purchased items to maintain required inventory levels with timely issuance of PO.
• Negotiate and establish long-term purchase agreements with suppliers partnering them for mutual organizational benefit.
• Manage existing vendors, carrying out supplier audits-evaluating & rating them on parameters listed by company policies.
• Controlling overall procurement costs and assessing risks associated with procurement and minimizing them.
• Manage complete procure-to-pay cycle for procurement department across all categories following PO approval process.
• Compare, analyze and negotiate prices for all procured items across the group from local and international vendors to reduce purchasing costs based on volume procurement thus contributing to overall profitability of the company.
• Pending orders follow up with vendors for deliveries as per SOPs, and communicating to various internal departments.
• Optimize the value of goods purchased through cost reduction of listed SKUs by identifying alternate vendors.
• Work in close coordination with cross-functional teams, multiple stake holders of business to achieve company goals.
• Responsible for purchase, procurement, inventory management and supply-chain activities of the entire company.
• Defining business objectives for Commercial department, procurement & inventory planning and risk assessment.

• SKU based stock level monitoring on weekly basis for different distributors across MENA region.
• Maintain and provide information to distributors on product availability, spare parts, shipment and stock replenishment.
• Initiating and recommending corrective actions to distributors & regional offices to maintain sufficient stocking.
• Working in close co-ordination with factories to manage their production plans as per the forecasting.
• Deciding on shipment modes controlling logistics costs and prioritizing shipment deliveries from vendors.
• Manage, place & track POs from factories, inter-companies till goods receipt through ERP - SAP (MM Module).
• Optimize inventory at maximum possible level to minimize stock outage and excess inventory by proper PO placements.
• Process and analyse Inventory reports - reconciling discontinued & non-moving spare parts for scrapping and disposal.
• Generate and publish weekly reports on Back Order, Inventory, Order fulfillment, supply ratio and supplier performance.
• Contract Management - following strict compliance between factories and sales subsidiaries on contractual terms.
• Proactively work within the team to fulfill organizational goals and expectations so as to ensure assigned KPI’s are met.
•Independently handle all activities related to procurement of carbon steel wire rods; required for manufacturing nails and galvanized wire after a thorough local and international market survey and discussions.
•Procure raw materials, other commoditized products, machine spare parts, CAPEX items, machine tools, consumables, MEP items by proper vendor sourcing locally & internationally formulating company’s purchase policies and procedures.
•Obtaining detailed technical specifications from suppliers for the above list of purchases, tabulating and preparing techno-commercial comparison ensuring they meet as per required standards of the purchase requisition.
•Review, expedite and track all open Purchase Orders with timely deliveries and strict adherence to quality of supply.
•Continuous tracking of Inventory of fast-moving items, common consumables to proactively forecast their demand and initiate purchases after confirmation from respective department heads ensuring optimal stocking at all times.
•Represent the company in negotiating and formulating contracts, long term agreements formulating company’s policies with suppliers; obtaining the best price consistent with the quality, services and deliveries for all procured items.
•Plan, organize, manage, coordinate, supervise and evaluate the programs related to procurement division.
•Develop, implement and enforce purchasing policies and procedures like vendor management and customer satisfaction and positively contribute in the overall company & purchasing cost-saving plans wherever possible.
• Working on enhancement and small maintenance projects to carry out changes on existing banking application.
• Continuous dealing and interaction with the client for carrying out the changes as recommended by the client.
• Successfully contributed on four releases after enhancements in the existing application.
• Unit Testing, Integration testing of applications by understanding the proper flow of the application.
• Exposure to work on vast technologies which includes Java, UNIX and Sybase.
