Act as an IT Process owner take full ownership of all IT operations in HQ, Remote Sites and 5 subsidiary companies in a strong matrix environment. Define & manage rules of IT engagement between ASAWER and IT Vendors, establish OLA between IT and business units. Responsible of managing IT Section financial planning CAPEX & OPEX, Define IT policies & procedures in an ISO 9001:2008 award winning company, While adopting the ITIL standards for better SQ for internal & external customers, integrate and align IT Governance with the corporate governance and company’s Balanced score card, setting Performance KPI’s & KGI’s and conduct quarterly staff Performance appraisal.
Managing the IT infrastructure in a Tier 3 datacenter catering 900 + users with services including desktop applications, web-based applications, Geotechnical software, DB’s, LAN, WAN across locations, Manage Helpdesk teams in HQ & remote sites to ensure incidents are escalated and fixed as per defined SLA. Develop, maintain & test Disaster Recovery plan annually.
Manage special projects and strategic initiatives as a member of the PMO team
Recruit, direct, manage, train and retain IT Leads & Engineers.
Provide monthly report to the ASAWER Managing director on IT Programs

Achieved Projects & milestones

1- Managed $ 8M + IT Infrastructure Projects including FPF, OBC, EPF, IDS, EOR facility, workshop for Leading oil operators like PETRONAS, GNPOC, Petro-energy, StarOil, PDOC, SUDAPET.
3- Participated with the management team in creating the company 5 years strategic plan.

4- Participated with the QHSE department on the ISO 9001:2008 initiative

2- Introduced an IT Profit Center by establishing a partnership with global IT Integrator.
5- Build-up an ITIL Eco-system and services improvement plan through CMM and gap analysis.

Providing daily support for 700+ users spanning 8 remote sites, Managing Khartoum HQ Infrastructure, Including Master Domain controllers, Mail servers, File & print servers, InterAct, and Backup servers, Managing ongoing IT projects with sub-contractors, Negotiating contracts and its associated SLA, directs project activities of hardware, telecommunications, support, Logistics, and Post implementation reviews. Updating network Documentation as per network expansion, Conducting scheduled IT awareness presentations and trainings on delivered solutions for central office users as well as remote locations, comply and ensure compliance with the QHSE Policies and procedures, update the QUEST with the monthly target of RIR’s
Managing IT assets and monitoring BMC Remedy 7.0 site for smooth ticket escalation.
Keeping an eye on the IT dashboard percentages and trends to maintain the KPI’s objectives

Sudan, Khartoum: Managed 19 IT Infrastructure Projects, including New end-user Solutions roll out, Internet Capacity increase, launching web-based asset management and tracking system, VOIP deployment, Remote Access Server, E-mail Domain Migration, LAN installation, VSAT based WAN installation.

Syria, Damascus: Managed IT user support operations in two remote sites Deer-Elzoor and Omer Base, Services Quality and overseeing ongoing IT Projects in coordination with Middle East connectivity team in Dubai.
