To create a flexible program and a classroom environment favorable to learning and personal growth; to establish effective rapport with students; to motivate students to develop skills, attitudes and knowledge needed to provide an outstanding foundation for the acquisition of their Associates Diploma in accordance with each student’s ability, and to establish good relationships with Admin and other staff members.
Duties:
• Utilizes the course of study adopted by the college, and other appropriate learning activities,
techniques and methodologies.
• Develops lesson plans, instructional materials and provides individualized and group instruction to
adapt the curriculum to the needs of each student.
• Uses a variety of instruction strategies, such as inquiry, group discussion, lecture, discovery, critical
thinking skills.
• Demonstrates training experience in the implementation and integration of multimedia technologies in an ESL/EFL language-learning environments.
• Establishes and maintains appropriate student behavior for the achievement of a functional learning
atmosphere.
• Evaluates students’ academic growth, appropriate records, and prepares progress reports.
• Participates and contributes, as required, in all curriculum development programs and workshops.
• Selects requisitions books and instructional aids; maintains required inventory records.
• Utilized web-based technologies and computer-assisted language learning (CALL).
• Administers tests and exams in accordance with Cambridge English: Preliminary (PET) qualifications
and standards.
Responsible for planning effective lessons and preparing resources which have clear teaching aims, objectives and learning outcomes for Primary aged students. Also, advised and co-operated with other teachers, for the preparation and development of courses, teaching materials, teaching programs, methods of teaching and assessment.
Duties:
• Provided guidance and advice to pupils on educational and social matters.
• Liaison with the parents or guardians of pupils.
• Liaison with colleagues as appropriate in areas of curriculum planning.
• Provided informative, helpful and accurate progress reports to parents and faculty.
• Updated records of and reports on the personal and social needs of pupils.
• Assisted Elementary School Teachers in the Rochester City School District
• Administered with scores and records used for achievement and diagnostic tests for individual students
• Assisted the teacher in devising special strategies for reinforcing material or skills based on a sympathetic understanding of individual students, their needs, interest, and abilities
