Responsible to ensure that my shift meets all production targets in terms of safety/environmental, quality, output and costs. Directs and coordinates the activities of Steel Melting Plant operation up to the Rolling Mill. Coordinates the operations of the EAF, LF and CCM to maintain efficient and smooth production.
Key Responsibilities Handled
• Liaises with Foreman Casting and Foreman EAF/LF to enable efficient coordination between all sections to optimize plant performance
• To Coordinate the activities of service sections like slag/scrap, materials handling, DRI, refractories, Utilities and maintenance to ensure continuous availability of equipment and material to eliminate/reduce delays
• To Maintain good standards of discipline in the shop floor and take the necessary actions to meet the standards
• To Optimize the use of plant equipment, workers assigned to melt shop throughout the work period ensuring continuity between shifts
• To Create safety awareness amongst my crew and report all incidents (accident, damage, fire and environment) occurrences
• To Initiates ideas, leading to improve efficiencies/output of the plant
• Monitors the data relating to quality and raises proper complaints with the appropriate Engineers and Manager
• To Ensure proper housekeeping in the entire steel making plant
• To Ensure optimum utilization of materials to reduce consumption per ton of steel
• To Follow up on the execution of product cost reduction plan to identify potential areas for cost reduction
• Trains new staff and existing staff in their required duties. Ensures comprehension of safe working practices and checks compliance with the Company's policy and procedures.
Being Junior executive production in Steel Making Department involve in process, maintaining furnace health, managing daily consumables, Ferro alloys that has to be us during production.
Key Responsibilities
• Maintain process for smooth Process.
• Main emphasis on controlling Power ON, Power OFF & Tap to Tap time.
• Coordinating with shift Manager, LF, CCM, scrap yard material handling, Quality dept. crew for smooth running of the EAF.
• Perform duties as a senior melter at Electric Arc Furnace.
• As senior melter responsible to make coordination with other station such as charge preparation and ladle refining furnace etc.
• Responsible to maintain scrap charge, raw material and other consumables as per requirement.
• Supervise the melting, refining such as decarburization, dephose. Of the steel as per required standard.
• To check the chemical composition of required steel grade and maintain it during process and before sending the ladle for secondary refining.
• Responsible to maintain furnace in healthy condition during and for production activities.
• Implementation and maintaining of ISO 9001:2000 in the section.
Sintering for B.F IM via BF SM via LD converter CCM for Slab and Billet Cold Rolling, Hot Rolling. Foundry & Pattern Making Steel Making through EAF LRF VD and CCM. Ingot Casting. Electro Slag Remelting. Hot Rolling(Rebar, plate rolling) Cold Rolling(sheet mill) Forging & Heat Treatment.
