Representing a 22 man Finance team reporting directly to the CFO/CEO and had 20 persons under my supervision. My role to ensure following are performed:
Implement best practice processes for planning, budgeting, forecasting, performance monitoring & analysis to ensure a strong control & planning function across the organization

Leading the annual budget preparation activity, conduct meetings with business, collating & reviewing information. Prepare segmental & consolidated Budget for group consolidation
Manage treasury function by effective cash flow forecasting to ensure availability of funds
Prepared annual plan, quarterly forecast and long term plan, challenging assumptions and supporting in addressing financial implications of strategic decisions
Implement effective Business Intelligence & IT infrastructure to support business objectives
Participate in business reviews & facilitate and improve Revenue management initiatives
Critically examine & help strengthen systems, workflows, procedures, policies & controls
Oversee changes required to Accounting Policies & Processes from changes in Accounting Standards, maintain existing policies & create new internal policies to observe compliance
Ensured business activities are compliant with VAT framework by monitoring the quality of data & reports prepared, managing timely submission of all VAT returns & payments, timely implementation of VAT legislation changes & Acting focal point of contact for VAT queries.
Actively coordinated with Asset owners to discuss Market insights, Asset performance, Portfolio analysis, Revenue forecasting, risk exposures and investment returns
Preparing analysis of insurance quotes for cost optimization & extended coverage
Help in tracking of internal audit observations on Compliance and Governance and timely implementation of agreed actions plans.
Represent an 8 man Finance team reporting directly to the Finance Manager/ Head of the Department & had 6 persons under my supervision. My role to ensure following are performed:
Developed Business Strategy, operation/Financial policies, Procedures, controls & workflows
Developed reporting framework assuring full visibility on progress in achieving objectives
Maintained proper books of accounts & accounting records, review of various schedules, reports, analysis & reconciliations and ensure timeliness in monthly closing of books
Developed annual budgets, monthly forecast, business performance and variance analysis
Inspect & perform further calculations of monthly funds NAV received from custodian of fund and provide timely financial recommendations, coordinate & provide necessary reports & analysis to Fund Manager, Group Finance & external reporting to the Central Bank.
