Sydney Metro City and Southwest Project delivers 30 kilometres of metro rail between Chatswood and Bankstown, including a new crossing beneath Sydney Harbor, new railway stations in the Lower North Shore and Central Business District (CBD), and the upgrade and conversion of the current line between Sydenham and Bankstown stations. Achievements:
• Received the MTR Global Grand Award for Outstanding Contribution, Innovation and Performance in 2023.
• Led the planning teams of all contractors involved in developing and updating the integrated schedule, including all components of Metro, such as civil construction, systems installation, testing and commissioning, dynamic testing and Systems Integration. Responsibilities:
• Leading a team of 18 multi-disciplinary planning engineers, forensic schedulers, cost engineers, and document controllers.
• Managing the project planning, reporting, costing, extension of time claims, and document control departments throughout the design, procurement, manufacturing, installation, construction, testing and commissioning, and closing out stages of the project.
• Representing the MTR Project team in all ProjectControls-related coordination with Project Stakeholders, including the Client, Government Authorities, other Contractors, and Subcontractors.
• Implement and manage the progress monitoring, controlling, and reporting system to ensure project status is accurately reflected for executive management reporting.
• Managing the process of an integrated project schedule that includes coordinated track-related integrated programs (TRIP), stations (greenfield and brownfield), depots, tunnels, brownfield sections, and systems integration work.
• Managing the process of Extension of Time (EOT) requests that includes the preparation of the substantiated upstream extension of time claims and reviewing subcontractors requests of extension of time claims by using different methods and techniques of forensic scheduling.
• Presenting project cost reports, including Earned Value and Cash Flow reports, to MTR Executive Management.
• Coordination with the technical leads of the projects and interface management team to ensure the delivery and integration schedule is comprehensive and includes all required interfaces and integration elements.
