Lecturer in Foundation of Management, Development Studies, Public Policy Management 1&2, Human Resource Management 1, 2 and 3, Public Administration, National, Government and Administration, and Local Government and Administration
Working hand in hand with the Town Clerk and the Director Human Resource and Administration. It was my responsibility to provide good working conditions to the employee so that they may like the workplace and the work environment. I ensured that there was a well-planned employee relations which promoted a healthy and balanced relation between the employee and the employer. It is the fundamental duty of the HR department to motivate the employees. Other functions being performed were answering to correspondences within and outside on behalf Council. Ensured that all the meetings took place according to the calendar and taking of minutes in Management and Council meetings.
Other tasks where;-
• Writing monthly and quarterly reports for the council and report to management.
• Conducting selection and interviews for various positions of the council before the commission was put in place.
• provide input in business and strategic planning
• Set goals for departments and individual managers
• Collaborate with colleagues to implement policies and develop improvements
• Organize and coordinate inter- and intradepartmental operations
• Oversee resource allocation and budgeting
• Provide guidance to subordinate staff and evaluate performance
• Resolve issues that may arise in a timely manner
• Assume responsibility for timely reporting to senior management or regulatory agencies
• Assist in other tasks (e.g. fundraising) as assigned.
I did a project research on the roles of Donor Funded projects in Faith based organization in Zambia
Did a research on Decentralization effects on council and local government as a whole.
