Stores Management
To oversee and monitor all functional and technical activities taking place at all project sites stores of Business Areas and HO.
Material Receipts/Storage
To ensure that material is properly received, inspected, stored and issued at HO stores as per procedures.
Optimum Utilization Of Resources
To monitor timely movement of surplus material from one project to another (within BAs) where the same can be effectively utilized.
Inventory Control
Monitor the maintenance of inventory of Consumables and E&P Parts at Descon Project Sites & control their inventory by monitoring adequacy of current inventory levels. Ensure that all items in the inventory are in a safe use able condition.
Physical Inventory
Ensure regular physical inventory of all Site Stores of All BAs through I/C Store-BA and take corrective measures to eliminate causes of stock discrepancies.
Fixed Assets Management SYSTEM (FAMS)
To monitor the maintenance of FAMS at various projects of BAs for Fresh Purchasing and Transfers(in/out) in a quality method.
Monitor the Write-off process for the BER Assets after following proper procedure as laid down in related SOP and MS.
Disposal Of Surplus / Waste Scrap Material
Arranges timely disposal of surplus / BER materials/assets at various Project Sites of all BAs of DESCON.
FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT
Working Capital
To monitor maintenance of inventory levels in a cost effective manner.
Cost Monitoring
Ensure that all stores activities are managed economically & in a cost effective manner.
Safety, Quality & Environment:
Ensure compliance to all relevant safety, quality and environmental management procedures and controls across the all store related activities to guarantee employee safety, legislative compliance, delivery of high quality products/service.
Policies & Procedures:
Recommend improvements to departmental policy and direct the implementation of procedures and controls covering all areas of stores activity .
- Monitor all activities of Stores and Supplies sections of Motorcycles Manufacturing project and Bicycle & Allied Items Manufacturing Project.
- Material Planning and Control.
- Look after Materials movement in Custom Bonded Warehouse (In-Bonding and Ex-Bonding)
- Monitor all activities of Receipt Office in accordance to Purchase Orders issued and Quality Processes of Factory.
- Interaction with Production, Finance and Procurement (Local & Imports) departments regarding Stock Status and Activities in various stores of factory.
- Coordinate with Internal & External Auditors of company for different periodical Audits of Stores.
- Monitor 300 Staffs & Workers working in various Stores of the company i.e., Raw Material Store, General Store, Work-in-process Store, Finished Goods Store, Receipt Office, Motorcycle Project Store and Scrap Yard.
As Material Manager my responsibilities included
- to look after and control all activities in Stores of Factory (Yarn Store, Chemical Store, Fabric (Finished & Unfinished) Store, Garments Store, General Store, Garments Accessories Store, Maintenance Store and Rejection Store.
- Monitor all material receipt (Imports & Local Purchase.
- Monitor all material Issuance to Production and Maintenance Shops.
- Coordinate with Accounts, Finance, Production and Procurement department.

- Prepare all records of company's Loading Vans (Total 120/Nos Vehicles) on daily basis regarding their Stocks and Sales Reports.
- Check Physical Stock Activities in various stores of company.
