Quality Control and Assurance
Responsibilities:
o Managing the test Lab and sales support as “ Technical expert” by
suggesting the right product for customer requirements and
applications.
o Managing the quality aspect of technology transfer for Ongoing
project.
o Responsible for resolving customer technical queries regarding
technical information on products, application information during sales
cycle.
o Quality control of final product .Product domain is control gear.
o Responsible for maintaining certification matrix and sales support for
test reports and technical details for tenders.

Responsibilities:
o To manage the product approvals, third party inspection and approvals
like Saudi Aramco approvals and Liaise between customers, after-sales
and marketing regarding product quality returns.
o To manage the testing lab meant for routine and functional testing.
o To manage the ISO 9001 Quality management System, its effective
implementation in organization.
o Development, implement and measuring the quality checks.
o Review of Quality Documents to ensure they are in accordance with
Customer requirements.
o Incoming inspection of Materials on receipt at Plant to ensure they are
free from defects and bear correct material certifications.
o To organize and conduct the ISO and product related trainings.
Also involved in Design as additional responsibility.
* To maintain the smooth and timely output from design.
* To ensure that Design meets the project/Customer
specification in a satisfactory manner.
* To reduce the common errors in design so as to increase the
effective outputs.
* To make sure the smooth transfer of technical information
from sales to design
Responsibilities:
o To manage the routine test activities of product test lab.
o To manage the ISO 9001 Quality management System, its effective
implementation in organization.
o Planning of FAT (Factory Acceptance Testing) of products to ensure
timely approvals to dispatch.
o Creation of high Quality ITPs (Inspection and Test Plans) per Industry
standards and Customer requirements.
o Conducting Internal Audits and handling of third party inspection and
approvals like Saudi Aramco approvals, periodic UL Inspection.
o Ensuring that UL Listed products keep meeting the standard criteria.
o Review of Quality Documents to ensure they are in accordance with
Customer requirements.
o Coordination for Pre-Inspection meeting with Customer to ensure a
smooth process and issue resolution.
o Inspection of Materials on receipt at site to ensure they are free from
defects and supported with the correct material certifications.
o Continuous improvement of ITPs to incorporate Customer feedback
and criteria.
o Incoming inspection of Materials on receipt at Plant to ensure they are
free from defects and bear correct material certifications.
Also involved in:
* To maintain the fire protection system of factory with the help
of external agency.
* To monitor and ensure the implementation of safe work
practices in production area.
* To handle the plant safety in all aspects.

To manage the Lab Team & Lead the Lab expansion Operations.
o Conducting internal audits in Lab .
o Test lab setup for switch & socket Testing as per IEC 60669 and IEC
60884 and BS 1363-1, 2 standards.
o Standardization of Test method with all the Schneider Labs in Europe .
Achievements
o Successfully completed the Test lab setup for switch & socket Testing
as per IEC 60669 and IEC 60884 and BS 1363-1, 2 standards within
targeted time .
o Received the appreciation award for the Lab setup with zero downtime.
o Standardization of Temperature rise test Method with all the Schneider
Labs in Europe.
o Established a working network of European Labs with Bangalore Lab.
o Successfully implemented the global Lab safety guidelines in the Lab
and achieved zero accident target.
o Received training on Type Testing of domestic switch and sockets as
per IEC60669 and IEC 60884 in Schneider Labs in Spain, Switzerland
(Feller), Germany (Merten) and France
Responsible for Product life cycle management and functional quality
for MCCB, contactors (ACTIVA range) and relays.
o Managing the complete product certification requirement of plant.
o Trained internal auditor for Quality Management system.
o To maintain the quality system through internal audit .
o Project Manager (Technical) for TESYS-2 Project. This involved the
selection of product combination, complete coordination for technical
part and execution of certification activities with external labs in india
and china.

o Technical review of design drawings for switchgear products to check
their compliance with project specification, international standards,
and scope of works.
o Implementation of incremental design changes as per Schneider Global
guidelines, at Schneider Electric manufacturing Plant in Nasik, India.
o Finalizing and conducting Product quality Audits as per audit plan and
handling customer Inspection for Quality and functional testing.
o Design review for tenders, Product specification Finalization for MCCB,
ACB and Control gear products.
Achievements
o Certification and approval of 400A, 630A LV Panel for NTPC as per IEC
60439-1 and 2.
o Successfully completed the Type test certification of Masterpact MVS
series ACB (Ekalvya) in India.
o Successfully completed the Certification & validation of design of newly
developed starters for Type-1
o Co-ordination as per IEC-60947-4 and certification of LV Motor Module
for Tupe-2 Coordination for BHEL.
o Completed the CT manufacturer process validation as sub project for
TESYS-2 Project
o Managing the complete third party inspections of various agencies like
SGS etc & Product approval from utilities.
o Conducting Internal Audit as per ISO 9001.
o To manage the quality and BIS marking requirements for range of
starters.
o Responsible for Lab instrument calibration updation.
o Design Validation and certification of all L.T.Switchgear & control gear
products like A.C.B, MCCB, Contactors, relays, starters, MCB as per
standards at in-house & at outside Certification facilities like CPRI,
ERDA.
o Technical Lead for development of 25-250A Electronic MCCB along
with accessories
Achievements
o Successfully developed the Accessories (CT, Tripping solenoid) for 25-
250AElectronic MCCB.

o Responsible for incoming quality inspection of inward electrical
material as well as electronic (solid state & microprocessor based
relays) & other sub-assemblies from different vendors .

Over current protection relay through vendor.
