Catering the complete requirement from our Factories in Djibouti and Lootah Building and Construction (Dubai)
Setting up the weekly, monthly, quarterly procurement plan
Organize, supervise, coordinate and monitor the assigned project procurement activities and personnel at the various stages of work, as well as take the appropriate measures to ensure that the entire project procurement cycle is on schedule and within the budget and in accordance with head contract requirements.
Review requisitions for completeness and expediting all missing data and/or documents and establish early required delivery dates for Goods & Services.
Participate in make or buy decisions.
Analyze market and delivery systems to assess present and future material availability and alternative sources of supply.
Purchasing machines with improved technology to increase production.
Administering the online purchasing systems.
Procurement of raw material from national and international market.
Taking action in the event of incorrect deliveries, or damaged or defective deliveries, etc.
Review authorized signatory approvals are followed, and purchase order/change orders are prepared and issued with applicable attachments for distribution.
Review issue purchasing reports such as Inquiry status summary, Purchase Order list and other reports as per requirements.
Making recommendations & advising senior management on all purchasing issues.
Maintains relationships with major vendors to provide the maximum utilization of their expertise, ideas, methods and material application in order to achieve maximum cost savings.
For inquiries, issued, retrieve vendor prices and perform an initial commercial review for short listing of vendors. Evaluate existing vendors as well as develop new vendors and prepare the project vendor list.
Ensure that all corporate, departmental guidelines are followed.
Implementation of new supply structure.
Performs the function of a Procurement, Expediting or Shipping Coordinator as needed for the projects.
Coordinate, as needed, with the Shipping Coordinator to assure the timely and cost effective transport of all equipment and materials to the jobsite and or supplier’s warehouse.
