Generating new business from the Broker sector and meeting production targets by introducing your company’s product range to existing and new producers.
•Training producers in the companies product range and an integral part of the role will be driving ongoing sales and identifying new opportunities for growth.
•Establish and build new relationships with existing and potential producers that have prospective business that meets the companies underwriting criteria.
•Maintain existing relationships in order to protect existing books of business.
•Develop an in depth understanding of your company’s products.
•Co-ordinate any marketing campaigns to prospects.
•Conduct broker training and presentations.
•Provide feedback to the underwriting department to ensure quality service and underwriting standards are maintained.
•Assist brokers with product and business queries.
•Assist in general department matters when required.
•Demonstrate business planning skills to achieve visitation & sales targets.
Accident and Health Profit Center
Report to: Matrix reporting to Vice President Accident and Health (Egypt), Regional
Accident and Health Underwriting Manager (Dubai).
Principal Accountabilities
•Manage Profitability & growth of the local operations.
• Assist the Vice president in projects business plans and establishing long term goals.
•Monitoring key ratios, ringing early warning bells and take corrective actions to adjust projects performance as planned.
•Presentation of regional /country reports.
•Direct and Coordinate the development & implementation of administrative systems.
•Review and analyise budget set up for the company projects.
•Track and manage portfolio trends.
•Participate in the strategic Planning and the management of the Profit center.
•Participate in the product development Process.
•Review Bancassurance Direct Marketing campaigns projections to ensure benchmarks are made and that variables are appropriate to the product and target market including actual and variance of headwise direct and indirect expenses and marketing spend budget, and suggest timely corrective action, if any.
•Liaison with product development team for product rollout within the requisite turn around time.
•Fill in for Vice president as needed to attend staff meetings.
Accident and Health Profit Center
Report to: Matrix reporting to Vice President Accident and Health (Egypt), Regional
Accident and Health Underwriting Manager (Dubai).
Principal Accountabilities
•Have direct involvement in large accounts to manage relationships and if results indicate implement corrective actions.
•Monitor Sales cycle tracking for commercial & life source.
•Be involved in the life -cycle of all products launches for all lines - i.e. Product creation, policy wordings, policy schedule, rating, EFSA filing, legal, claims, training, system, brochures.
•Establish and maintain relationships. Make broker/clients calls if size of the producers warrants or if a significant renewal is required or a proposal or other presentation for new business is required.
•Communicates to agents & sales management all their renewals accounts, cancellations, sales achievement reports.
•Monitor and Review over due receivables, outstanding renewals and delinquent reporting accounts and report to functional managers.
•Works closely with customer service group to raise the efficiency of sales operations in addition to sales figures.
•Monitor dept. expenses coding & tracking.
• Respond to questions from brokers, clients.
Accident and Health Profit Center
Report to: Matrix reporting to Vice President Accident and Health (Egypt), Regional
Accident and Health Underwriting Manager (Athens).
•Underwrite new and renewal business as per the approved authority levels.
•Underwrite and prepare referral submissions if required for larger new and renewal quotes.
•Monitor referral submissions that have been made for new/renewal business in order to
Ensure deadlines are met.
• Manage usage of local systems.
•Maintain renewals and produce new business where possible.
Assist in Growing the Accident & Health Egypt Portfolio 15 times in 13 years. (From $400k: $6, 000k, Yr 2001: Yr 2014).
•Operating Egypt Accident and Health portfolio at 30% Profit Margin (better than budget by 10 percentage points).
•Participate in the introduction of the new platform Travel System "WATTS" in Egypt.
•Pricing and Design the Group Personal accident Product “g-guard” which generates around $750k.
•Pricing and Design the Travel Care Product for schengen visa which generates around $2, 000k.
•Pricing and Design the family protection plan bancassurance product sold through CIB (bancassurance sales channel) which generates around $1, 000k.
Responsible for obtaining profitable results through the sales team by developing the team through motivation, counseling, skills development and product knowledge development.
•Manage the sales administration function, operational performance reporting, streamlining processes and systems wherever possible, and advising senior management on maximizing business relationships and creating an environment where customer service can be fullfiled.
•Responsible for managing the sales team, developing a business plan covering sales, revenue, and expense controls, meeting agreed targets.
•Ensure that all sales advisors activities are complied with the guidelines of the company.
•Responsible for the planning, recruitment, direction, organization and control of unit managers and sales advisors to accomplish specific objectives.
•Responsible for monitoring the performance of the sales team by establishing a system of reports and communications involving sales reports, cyclical sales meetings, sales newsletters and electronic bulletins.
•Plan and implement a specific appraisal system that describes the responsibilities and performance standards for each member of the sales team, set individual territory sales and commission targets and administer the commission plan.
•Personally observe the performance of the sales advisors in the field on a regular basis.
•Get, Maintain and expand client database.
•Get the sale” using various sales methods (outdoor meeting, cold calling, presentations etc)
•Forecast sales, develop “out of the box” sales strategies/models and evaluate their effectiveness
