Construction and upgrading of the Mesaimeer road (P008-C3) in Doha, Qatar. The project covers the construction and upgrade of approximately 4 Km of existing dual carriageway on Mesaimeer Road. The existing road is widened to four lanes in each direction plus parallel at-grade service roads on either side of the main carriageway. The upgrade works include the construction of 2 bridges of 1200m & 150m length using the pre cast segment, balanced cantilever method of construction. The bridge will cross Salwa Road where it is designed as a cable stayed bridge. 4 pedestrian bridges are included in the works. Additional works include the design and build to provide upgrades to nine sections of the periphery roads including Wholesale Market Street.
(P008-C2). Project Overview: This is an EPC Infrastructure Project costs QAR 2.6B+ which deals with the construction of 4km new expressway and upgrade of 4.5km of existing dual carriageway to expressway standard. The project is under Qatar's Public Works Authority PWA (ASHGHAL) with WSP
PB as the Supervision Consultant. The new expressway varies between 4 lanes and 7 lanes wide in either direction. Also includes a new 3 level grade-separated interchange and parallel service road with local junctions and free flow link roads at thejunction interchanges. Duties and Responsibilities
•Responsible for Material review, submission and follow up for approval related activities in the project for Ashghal/Kahramaa/QNBN/QAF Etc.
•Co-ordination with Consultant/Client related to material approval & material issues to avoid any delay in material approval process. And to help the procurement department to procure the materials as per the project plan/Schedules.
•Monitoring & assisting the material inspector to ensure all the material receiving inspections for the each stakeholders and their sampling & testing are done as per the project requirements /specifications.
•Conducting & witnessing the Factory acceptance tests (FAT) and the FAT report submissions to the consultant.
•Monitoring of Site material storage's.
•Coordination & assisting the Laboratory engineer for the Site material sampling & testing.
•Monitory the Testing frequency of the materials.
•Coordination with construction team, engineering team and procurement team to provide necessary support regarding materials & make necessary arrangement with the manufacturer/supplier to procure/design materials as per the project requirements.
•Assisting QA Engineer for the closure of NCR related to materials.
Expressway. Lusail Expressway will run north from the Doha city to connect the under-construction Lusail development area. The QR3.5bn ($960m) expressway project broke ground in November 2012 and is scheduled to be opened to traffic in 2016.Lusail Expressway is one of the biggest among 30 road projects to be developed as part of Qatar's seven year Expressway Pro gramme initiated in 2010 to connect people and places across the city of Doha and wider Qatar through 900km of new road network involving a number of underpasses, flyovers and multi-level interchanges.The Lusail Expressway is being developed by Ashghal, the Public Works Authority of Qatar, and will form an important part of the Doha Expressway network Our Scope of Work is we Subcontracted to assist in the construction of structural works (roads, bypasses and Flyovers) spanning 7 KM. Jefferson successfully managed the pouring of 12, 000 m3at full capacity. As Structural QC Engineer for the the construction of Lusail Development Primary Infrastructure (CP5B) contract with a value of $296 million USD from Lusail Real Estate Development Company. This infrastructure construction project will be built in Lusail City Development Site which is located 22km north of Qatar & capital, Doha. Samsung C&T will complete construction on the 10.7km road, including a 1 .5km underground motorway, which will serve as a centerpiece of the city&rsquos transportation system. The project will take 30 months to complete. As Quality engineer, Doha North Sewage Treatment Works (DNSTW) is a significant sewage treatment project being undertaken by the Public Works Authority of Qatar (Ashghal). The project site is located about 25km north of Doha. Construction works for the project commenced in February 2008. The project was carried out in two phases and was operational in December 2015. It is targeted to serve a population of 900, 000 citizens by 2020, treating 445, 000m³ of waste-water on a daily basis. Treated waste water from the project site is utilized for irrigation and other non potable purposes, while the sludge from the treatment plant is used as soil conditioner in the neighboring agricultural fields and as a source of green energy.The project primarily serves the city of Doha and its neighbouring suburbs, comprising Umm Salal, Gharafa, Semiesma and Lusail.The total cost of the project was 4.1 billion Qatari Riyal.
