Working as HLR/HSS/SAE-HSS/DRA/STP technical support engineer, CORE NETWORK
NSS operations Engineer (MSD HLR Telenor Pakistan)
Cutover from NSN to Huawei ngHLR:
*Hardware and software installation of NGHLR.
*I performed all the acceptance tests with Telenor.
*Configuration of services according to Telenor network.
*Addition of bulk of subscribers.
*Migration of live subscribers from Siemens HLR to Huawei NGHLR.
Subscribers Services management through SMU :
*IN migrations
* All services provisioning, de-provisioning.
*Managing international roaming templates MGT’s and testing with roaming partners.
*Providing the DUMP data to customer monthly by running the queries on DB.
*Providing Incremental logs of all the users to customer bimonthly.
*Queries on SMU directly.
LMT (Local maintenance terminal) AND M2000:
*Troubleshooting the alarms through the LMT and M2000.
*Performing testing with other Core network entities such SGSN, IN, LDI, STP, etc.
*Adding new links, board, rerouting traffics.
*Taking the traces on IMSI's and ISDN solving the subscribers faced issues such as ODBDATA,
GSM, and GPRS, Supplementary Services, Basic services etc.
*System upgrades, patches and adding new links, TDM and SIGTRAN, GT’s etc.
U-fone Pakistan Turn Key Project
*Microwave installation, configuration, commissioning and troubleshooting
*Patching of E1 on DDF from OSN to Electrical interface.
*WORK ON XPIC (Harris Stratex) (Ring), SDH, PDH and Huawei RTN610 and RTN620
*Huawei OSN 1500 and 3500 installation, configuration and maintenance
RPM (Huawei MSD BTS CMPak project)
*Schedule the PM of all the sites.

BSS Issues Preventive maintenance (PM) covers the maintenance of every equipment regarding GSM BTSs such as BTS Cabinets, Microwaves (ODU and IDU), Rectifiers, Earthing of every Electrical Equipment, and Patching of DDF Panel for alarms generation etc with in the GSM standards, Site stats thus improving the over all life and quality of services.
Corrective maintenance (CM) refers to the effective response in case of receiving any alarm report from the OMC-R.
Software installation for Motorola (Horizon i, Horizon ii)
Level 1 Trouble shooting of Motorola BTSs and BSCs.
Transmission Engineer:
RESPONSOIBILITY:
Visit on SAR (site acquisition report) & Transmission Planning: Joint visit with RF field Engineer to finalize the point for Tower and Tower height.
LOS SURVEY: Line of sight clearance for MW link.
TSSR: Technical sight survey for the customer.
TOOL USED: (PATHLOOS V4) to ensure the link status and signal path by studying the terrain data and measure the path reflections and resultant RSL of Microwave link and finalize the height of the Dish on Tower. And to ensure interference free path.
As Trainee BSS O&M engineer
Responsibilities:
BSS Calibration & Reflection of Motorola TRX’s, and VSWR issues at BTS end, inner and external alarms checking,
Integration BTS/BSC commissioning & Re-parenting of BTS sites, Site ATP’s from Vendor, PTA(Pakistan telecommunication Authority) Call testing
Transmission Lease Line Issues DIU/ATM Maintenance with PTCL and MW issues both PDH and SDH configuration and commissioning and RSL issues, Down time issues, BER testing and routing of new sites.
Environmental & Power Issues: All the DG’s issues, AC’s issues UPS and Earthing of all Electrical Equipments and testing fire Alarm system and Temperature monitoring external Alarms testing.
I got my Degree with honours A grade throught.
