Drafting and Reviewing Agreements and Business Reports:
Well involved in drafting and evaluating confidential disclosure agreements, intellectual property license agreements, supply agreements, business agreements, commercial agreements and business reports of in-house and outside customers which simplify the business needs. Always engaged in review of laws, policies, and orders which are helpful to expand business horizon of organization and update it to the senior management regularly.
•Responsible for Team Work:
Successfully handling team of four members comprising of manager, deputy manager & assistant managers. Responsible for team’s technical work and administrative activities such as leave approval and annual appraisals.
•Patent Invalidation and Non-Infringement Strategies:
Responsible for designing and reviewing invalidation strategies for product and process patents of APIs, peptides, oncology molecules, polymers and drug products for geographies like Canada, Europe, India and the USA. Supporting higher management with proper and efficient patent information for supply and launch of APIs and drug products in regulated & non-regulated markets. Prepares & reviews invalidation note based on invalidation & opposition grounds for the Orange Book listed patents & third party patents. Reviewing and understanding the potential lawsuits in view of launch of products and drafting appropriate strategic measures.
•Infringement and Freedom-To-Operate (FTO) Analysis:
Working on non-infringement strategies and Freedom-To-Operate (FTO) analysis of APIs and drug products for countries such as Australia, Canada, Europe, Japan, USA, & South Africa etc. Always responsible for reviewing all the work and presentation done by team. Also involved in due diligence of organizational interest.
•Litigation Support:
Active involvement in patent litigations and discovery challenges. Actively working and reviewing different of strategies for various patents. Thoroughly involved in review of litigation documents such as attorney briefs, complaints, notice letters, opinions, motions, deposition documents, expert reports, orders, decisions and documents pertaining to lawsuits, attorney communication and providing appropriate comments accordingly. Always involved in communication with attorneys, associates and paralegal team based in India and in other nations.
