Lead and participate in all technical interactions with Customer pre-bid, post bid & contract stages.
Co-ordinate with in-house department / Major equipment suppliers for optimizing Power
Plant Proposal Engineering.
Lead initiatives in achieving engineering schedule and technical quality during proposal stages.
Responsible for reviewing & optimizing inputs, equipment sizing, BOQs, erection estimates received from in-house plant engineering department / other departments
Responsible for basic economic studies for bid purposes. Prepare and maintain database of vendors and comparative cost data for plant systems
Analysis of client terms and conditions comments on what is acceptable, not acceptable.
• Performing combustion calculation.
• Performing sizing calculation for boiler and other power plant auxiliaries.
• Transforming the calculated data to make technical specification required for procuring the mechanical packages.
• Preparation of bought out specifications for fans/ pumps/ valves, etc. & evaluation of quotations.
• Preparation of bill of materials for cost estimation purposes.
• Mechanical Design calculations for pressure part/ piping, thickness, etc.
• Reading client's specification and preparation of deviation/clarification documents & negotiations with client and/or client's consultants.
• Preparation of site visit study reports, system descriptions etc.
• Negotiating scope, quality, design conditions and other technical terms with the sub-vendors.
• Vendor drawings / documents review, approval and management of vendor's engineering deliverables until completion of contract.
• Coordination between vendors and control of vendor's engineering schedules.
• Prepare and arrange the deviation requests and getting approval from Client.
• Identifying the problems arising from the operation of the power plant/equipments and working on the problem to provide the best possible solution.
