As operations Operator my responsibilities were with the HDS and CRM contracts runs cost effectively within budget, I was managing Team of 2 clerks, 25 Home Delivery Service Drivers, 4 ware house staff, making sure the home delivery service operation runs smoothly in timely manner window.
•Completing staff appraisals
•Organising training and courses for staff
•Making sure the KPI reports are done on time and sent to the General Manger
•Making sure the holiday and sickness covers were filled
•Health and safety rules were followed and implemented
•Random Drugs and Alcohol breathalyser test before shift start
•Approving staff wages according to clock in system
•Approving subcontractor cost
•Approving agency staff wages
•I was also involved setting up any new contract and training staff
•Carrying through any disciplinaries and personal improvement plans
•Reducing cost and expenditure and improving overall efficiency of the company
My Role involved working and supporting team of managers and supervisor to achieve the HDS contract
•Dealing with a with drivers and ware house staff to make sure the deliveries are getting on the road on time
•Planning Radios routes of 150 deliveries per day
•Making sure the subcontractors are loaded according to route plan
•Dealing with any vehicle defects and organising subcontractors for home delivery service
•Reporting to site manager directly with KPI reports
•Dealing With client issues and quarries
•Carrying safety checks of the vehicles and following and implementing health safety rules on site
•Organising agency staff for holidays and sickness absents
•Ordering weekly fuel for vehicles
•Dealing with returns and reporting back to clients
•Organising failed deliveries to be re-planned
Managing the day to day running of the store
•Stock replenishment
•General customer service
•Dispensing medicine once signed of by pharmacist
•Managing till cash up and general store accounting
•Management of staff including appropriate training and staff development
•Ordering of stock
•Ensuring stock expiry dates were checked and expired products removed and destroyed as per company policy
