Title: “Design of vertical axis wind turbine for power generation on highways.”
Description: The objective of the project is to design a vertical axis wind turbine to utilize kinetic energy of fast moving vehicles on highways economically for generating electricity. The project focuses on design of turbine blades to utilize the maximum amount of wind by maximizing drag by aerodynamic concepts. Analysis of the model is being carried out by computer software tools like CREO, ANSYS and Wind tunnel experimentation. The actual data of wind speed is collected from highway.
