Collaborating with Revenue Cycle team in education of patient care teams regarding specific documentation needs for appropriate reimbursement identified through concurrent and retrospective documentation reviews.
Performing audits related to clinical documentation and to identify, incomplete or inconsistent documentation.
Conducting orientation / trainings / workshop by preparing new or revised program materials as per the CDI department requirements.
Preparation and presentation of clinical documentation improvement monitoring/trending reports for review with physicians.
Collaborating with Case Managers, Quality Improvement, and the Medical Staff on documentation improvement initiatives.
Communicate with all clinical departments and medical staff to improve documentation in the patient’s electronic medical record (EMR) by conducting training, workshops etc.
Training physicians and key healthcare providers regarding regulatory requirements and guidelines for clinical documentation.
Assisting in implement coding nomenclature as mandated by the health authorities (DHA) (HAAD)
