Work responsibilities included:
•Team leader for implementation of FICO, MM & SD modules of SAP
•Managing a team of finance & accounts professionals
•Preparation of annual business plans and budgets
•Monthly closing of books of accounts including consolidation of group companies financials, in accordance with applicable IFRS
•Management of AMC/SI billings and proper revenue recognition for computer hardware and security businesses
•Meeting stringent timelines for MIS preparation, with dual reporting to CEO in MEA region and HO in India
•Job profitability analysis for major projects as against tender projections
•Provide ad-hoc reports and necessary support to operating team
•Treasury management with active monitoring of banking facilities and optimum utilization of funds
•Liaison with PWC auditors for timely completion of quarterly and annual audits
•Liaison with lawyers for legal & compliance requirements
•Periodical review and follow-up of receivables and payables of the organization
•Interacting with parent company in India and ensuring reconciliations
Work responsibilities included:
• Periodical reporting to general manager-operations and group financial controller for all the matters related to finance & accounts
• Managing a team of finance & accounts professionals
• Monthly closing of books of accounts up-to finalization, in line with applicable international accounting standards
• Periodical MIS reporting of the company including P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, marginal costing sheets and ratio analysis
• Providing decision support data for project appraisals and tender submissions, based on annual projections
• Involved in development of job budgets and periodical analysis of variances with actual performances
• Appropriate allocation of factory overheads to various projects in order to establish the individual job profitability
• Identifying costs and sources of organization’s funding requirements and monitoring the banking facilities
• Co-ordination with banks for routine transactions, preparation of BG/LC papers and ensuring timely issuance of instruments
• Development of accounting system with greater emphasis on sound internal controls
• Monitoring the monthly payroll process and disbursements including hourly paid workers
• Periodical review and follow-up of receivables and payables of the organization
• Liaison with auditors for annual audits and audit reports
• Preparation of accounts up to finalisation
• Responsible for financial planning, budgeting and monthly cash flow
• Preparation of tax returns and meeting with tax authorities
• Liaison with banks, internal auditors as well as statutory auditors
