As a technical coordinator, my responsibilities might vary depending on the type of project. However, I might be responsible for issuing drawings for authority approval, answering technical questions, helping to create and assess technical documentation, technical datasheets, and drawings, keeping drawing logs, and working with project managers and designers to issue all technical drawings related to the project.
Duties & Responsibilities as Technical Designer
- Preparation of Architectural & ID plans, section,
elevations and other required drawings as per DM &
DDA regulations for authority approval.
- Preparation of Architectural & ID plans, section,
elevations and other required drawings for Building
Management approval.
- Preparing final drawings like, General arrangement Plan,
Internal Elevations, Shop Front Elevations, Flooring layout,
Partition Layout, Ceiling layout & Section, Sectional
Elevations, Small Power layout &Demolition Layout etc.
- Preparing Shop drawing submittal tracking schedule &
as built drawing tracking schedule.
- Distributing Approved shop drawings to TC & DC for
construction and coordinate with them.
- Coordinate with project surveyor and produce
coordination drawings.
- Coordinate and ensure that the architecture & interiors
design are aligned with all the MEP services.
- Preparing all project relevant shop drawings &
documents.
- Successfully deal with all subcontractors.
Duties & Responsibilities as Coordinator
- Preparing final submission drawings like, General
arrangement Plan, Internal Elevations, Shop Front
Elevations, Flooring layout, Partition Layout, Ceiling
layout & Section, Sectional Elevations, Small Power
layout &Demolition Layout etc.
- Preparing Shop drawing submittal tracking schedule &
as built drawing tracking schedule.
- Preparing Shop drawing Submittals & Submitting drawing
to Design consultant for approval.
- Distributing Approved shop drawings to Site team for
construction and coordinate with them.
- Coordinate with project surveyor and produce
coordination drawings.
- Preparing detail drawings of freestanding units &
Perimeter unit.
- Preparing Digital media Shop drawings & coordination
with DM supplier.
- Preparing Light box detail drawings & coordinate with LB
supplier.
- Coordinate and ensure that the architecture & interiors
design are aligned with all the MEP services.
- Preparing all project relevant shop drawings &
documents.
- Successfully deal with all subcontractors.
- Coordinate with factory, distributing commented &
approved shop drawing to produce fabrication
drawings.
The workgroup of the Engineering Office consist of seven employees. My role is to cooperating with the
chief designer to achieve the concepts and the ideas, handle it to become virtual perspectives and CAD
drawings on a high level and standards that reflect the reality to the client .During this period I have been
involved with the following:
* Royal Palaces.
* Private villas.
* Recreation areas.
* Hotels.
* Offices.
* Commercial areas and shops.
* Coffee shops and Restaurants.
* Wedding halls.
* Swimming pools.
* Theatres.
Job description (duties and responsibilities) .
- Preparing preliminary design.
- Responsible of selecting furniture & preparing presentation boards.
- Responsible of selecting the suitable materials & finishes.
- Preparing final drawings like, Furniture layout, Dimension layout, Flooring layout, Ceiling layout &
Section, Sectional Elevations, Power layout & Low current layout etc.
- Coordinate and ensure that the architecture & interiors design are aligned with all the MEP services.
- Preparing project relevant shop drawings & documents.
- Preparing material requisition form to issue sample of material from production department.
- Preparing fabric quantity schedule coordinate with upholstery and curtain section.
- Preparing & follow up material delivery status coordinate with purchase department & Store.
- Preparing scope of work and Coordinate with estimation department to prepare quotation.
- Preparing specification sheet of approved furniture to the production.
- Successfully deal with owners and subcontractors.
- Direct & coordinate activities of production department to ensure the project progresses on schedule.
- Supervising the project execution on site.
