Economic and Econometric Analysis
• Under the Regional Strategic Analysis and Knowledge Support System (ReSAKSS) Programme we conduct strategic analysis of CAADP in the Southern Africa region.
• Collect and process economic and statistical data from 12 SADC countries (Angola, Botswana, Eswatini, Lesotho, Madagascar, Malawi, Mauritius, Mozambique, Namibia, South Africa, Zambia and Zimbabwe) using sampling techniques and econometric methods. This data includes the 47 Malabo Declaration Indicators (African Union Development Agenda).
• Monitor economic changes and trends in agriculture and thereafter apply models of economic behaviour to agricultural changes and developments.
• Provide advice to government and their National Agriculture Stakeholders on the economic implications of agricultural policy options.
• The products of the strategic analysis include Annual Trends and Outlook Reports (ATORs), Working Papers, Peer-Reviewed Journal Articles, and Policy Briefs (List of Publications enclosed)

Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E)
• M&E of the agriculture performance of 12 Southern Africa countries whilst implementing CAADP.
• Review data collection processes of the 47 CAADP Indicators during the Biennial Review and Joint Sector Review processes and recommend process improvements.
• Provide uniquely designed data quality assurance process at country level, regional level and at continental level.
• Jointly lead the analysis of the collected 47 indicators to provide understanding of the agricultural performance of the 12 SADC countries.
• Jointly lead the documentation of the Biennial Review Report and Joint Sector Review Report to showcase the achievements of these programmes.
• Provide technical assistance to 4 of the 12 countries to build capacity for data management through a platform called e-Atlas.
• Provide data management of the 47 indicators through the ReSAKSS website
• Assist the countries on request to develop their Agriculture Sector M&E and National Agriculture Investment Plans (NAIPs)

Project Planning and Management
• Develop and define goals, objectives and terms of reference for projects under ReSAKSS i.e. Joint Sector Reviews (JSRs), Capacity Needs Assessments (CNAs), country Strategic Analysis and Knowledge Support System (SAKSS) Nodes in the 12 countries in the SADC region.
• Plan, coordinate and monitor activities of the aforementioned projects to develop and implement procedures, processes and systems.
• Collect the required project and programme data and information and convey to the country teams through validation workshops.
• Prepare and present regular internal and external project reports for management i.e. JSR, CNA reports.
• Evaluate and analyse with the ReSAKSS team and Country teams’ risks and issues compromising JSR/CNA/BR project results and develop plans to mitigate them.
• Aid in the development of baseline schedule and support Project Manager (PM) in Integrated Baseline Review (IBR).

Resource Mobilization and Partnership Development
• Proposal and concept note development for projects in the region in line with research for development.
• Developing Networks and partnerships with funding institutions like USAID, FAO, IFPRI, DfID, SADC and National Governments.
