Reporting to the AGM commercial, the role includes lead the technical launches and manage the projects timeline, liaise with prototype teams including Industry 4.0 initiatives.
• Leads large scale projects from inception to completion with budget range $2M-50M.
• Develop comprehensive project plans outlining key milestones, deliverables, KPIs and timelines.
• Monitor project progress and proactively identify and mitigate risks to ensure timely delivery.
• Partner with key stakeholders, internal and external, to identify and execute cross-functional goals, including senior management, department heads and team members.
• Negotiate pricing, timelines, services, and terms with domestic and international vendors.
• Optimize resource utilization and allocation to maximize project efficiency and effectiveness.
• Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring allocation of resources in alignment with project objectives and time frame.
• Liaise with Industry 4.0 Digital Transformation team for new initiatives and continuous improvement projects.
• Ensure compilation of all the lessons learnt after completion of each project.
• Prepare and submit project progress reports using Microsoft Project and CAD softwares.
• Monitor compilation of the Final Handling over Documents.
This position included commercial aspect of the project. Travelling to supplier and customer sites in-person for commissioning of large machines. Negotiations, RFQ development and launching as per customer requirement were some of the major responsibilities.
• Lead a project team to ensure timeframes and customer satisfaction are met.
• Understand requirements, specification, and project scope.
• Review and support the plant with technical variances.
• Initiates and performs engineering tryouts and monitors operations on capacity validation activities.
• Prepare the project execution plan for management review and approval and manage approved plan to achieve project deliverables and timeline objectives.
• Ensure timely payments are received from the customer in accordance with contract conditions.
• Review contract documents and administer all issues related to the project in conjunction with management in accordance with companys policies and procedures.
• Interface with project controls for invoice generation and maintain project information system.
• Provide work direction and leadership to multiple teams, including scheduling, assignment, and review of project work.
• Organise and lead customers, suppliers, and in-house meetings.
• Identify and ensure skills and training needs of assigned manpower are aligned to project requirements and support recruitment activities to source technically competent personnel for the project.
