• Responsible for the assignment of work to the Corporate Action team, including performance management process.
• Develop and maintain specific subject expertise and advises businesses management, and relevant third parties.
• Experience in processing Corporate action events-Dividend & interest postings
• Ensuring that client's accruals are set up correctly in system by validating data through sub custodian's swift, FTID, Bloomberg, Euroclear.
• To investigate any unsettled trade in the market affecting client's payment.
• Post reconciliation work done to ensure effective resolution of any discrepancy post pay date.
• Experience in balancing cash and stock accounts and with agents and custodians.
• Knowledge of SWIFT, Fundmaster, Bloomberg, FTS, Euroclear, TLM, ENTR, ELM, ERM, Euclid, DTC.
• Serve as a resource, ensuring that client issues are promptly resolved.
• Provide on-going training for new and experienced staff members.
• Develop new procedures or enhance current procedures to improve team productivity.
• Provide on-going communication with the manager regarding production and staff performance.
• Function in various roles on audit engagements, including leading audits, staffing audits and providing consulting or oversight functions based on the needs of the team.
• Provide technical expertise to the Audit Team and use sound audit practices. Maintain familiarization and technical expertise with the assigned business unit(s) including organizational structure, personnel, activities and products, new product development, financial performance and risk and problem areas.
• Responsible for staying current on regulatory rules and changes within the industry.
• Interact and partner with Senior and Executive Management to understand the risks within the business, business changes and other significant events that could significantly affect the business and/or the audit plan.
• Participate in meetings with business unit to discuss audit results.
• Communicate with partners at all levels, developing and presenting recommendations on operations and controls for the business unit.
• During audit engagements, assign work to team, set priorities and monitor activity.
• Conduct the performance management process for direct reports.
• Utilize understanding of various Corporate units to ensure operations, services, and systems have proper audit controls in place (i.e., design of the control environment)
• Review audit work including work paper documentation, findings and recommendations and the final report to ensure appropriate adherence to the Corporation’s/Department’s Policies and Standards and ensuring work is performed within established timeframes.
• Evaluate corporate management, business processes, business controls and operating practices during audits and consulting/monitoring engagements.
• Undertaking Six Sigma Green Belt Error Reduction and Cycle Time Project.
