Responsible for effectively planning & managing the consumer products portfolio for the emerging markets, & providing profitable sales & market share growth for the same.
Brands: Black & Decker, Stanley.
Geographical coverage: Middle East, Africa, Turkey, India, Russia, CIS.
• Managing all marketing activities (cluster Champion) for the Middle East region:
• Marketing activation planning, activation of marketing mix components.
• In-store communication: Development and implementation.
• Category management/enhancement and value creation: Portfolio management, market testing of products, performance monitoring, corrective actions.

• Maintained sales floor, assisted customers up front. Was responsible for greeting customers, having general up-to date knowledge of entire range of products, accessories, and schemes, and answered any questions customers had regarding the same.

• Was in charge of handling a group of promoter-boys during the campaigns. Strategically placed them in areas where we would reach out to maximum customers, and advised them on how to approach and speak to the customers.
• Interacted first-hand with customers, gauged their feedback, and provided my suggestions for overall improvement, as part of a project related to Value Added Services for Vodafone.
• Marketing intern as a Product Management Trainee at the Sales and Marketing Department.
• Performed intensive study and field research on selected hi-end products of Samsung versus its competitors-mainly camcorders, TVs, DVD players and home theatre systems. This covered market visits to dealers, to study their selling skills as well.
• Compared features, pricing, and evaluation of competitors’ products vis-à-vis Samsung, and prepared a report for the same.
• Presented report, suggesting new product line-up for consideration.
