• Teaching AS/A2 Level and BTEC, GCSE UK Curriculum. • Classroom management (setting out the materials and room displays etc.) and behaviour of students. • Planning and preparation of the courses SOW, Lesson Plans, Quality Reports, Improvement Plans, and Subject Area Reviews. • Assessment, marking & feedback. Also group criticism of work / peer assessment, exam individuation, all exam paperwork and standardisation meetings.
*Achieving high grades 98% A-C grades and 100% pass rate in 2014. • Managing a department area staff and budget. Acting HOD to cover sick leave for a term. • Tutorial and pastoral work including: University applications and mock interviews, reference writing, careers support, student support, student reviews, parent and open evenings, ROA reports and the end of each year. • Final year exhibition and promotion of courses offered to new students applying to the college. • Organising art department educational visits to galleries in this country and abroad.
