Employed as a Lead HSSE engineer and promoted to Sr HSSE engineer overseeing four stations, associated tunnels and managing safety department consisting of four Lead HSSE engineers, 46 officers and reporting to Dy HSSE Manager.
My Duties include but are not limited to
• Ensuring all the health and safety statutory and contractual requirements are identified.
• Monitoring the employees and all sub-contractors for HSE compliance to all regulatory and project requirements on a day-to-day basis.
• Planning, organizing and conducting daily inspections, audits, Assessments etc.
• Adoption of best HSE standards, procedures and working practices.
• To identify and to either eliminate or minimize any potential risks or hazards to employees and subcontractors affected by their day to day activities.
• Carryout health, safety, welfare and environmental audits on both the employees and the subcontractor and to follow up and ensure that actions from previous audits have been completed and actioned out
• Coordinate EHS aspects of operational sites, including risk assessments, approvals, inspections, audits, drills, training and workforce awareness.
• Monthly compilation and reporting of EHS information and statistics.
• Thorough investigation and follow up of all HSE incidents / accidents (including high potential near misses) and oversee implementation of corrective actions.
• Reviewing all Plans, RAMS of operations and equipment’s involved and preparing emergency preparedness plans.
Construction of East west Corridor for Bangalore metro, Comprises of 6 underground stations and 9km tunnels using TBM, NATM & Cut & Cover methodology.
• Maintain HSE Policies and Procedures ensuring compliance with government regulations and Company Standards.
• Work closely and effectively with employees while providing HSE training (especially new employee training and current staff’s refreshers) and assistance to ensure a safe, healthy and incident free workplace
• Work closely and effectively with supervisors, Engineers and managers to ensure work compliance with HSE Plans and Procedures.
• Monitoring maintenance of TBM Safety Features.
• Leads and/or participate in the investigation of incidents, identifying root causes, and assists in initial report preparation. Prepares a timely final report of findings with recommendations for corrective actions.
• Inspections of the Labor camp.
• Inspect and audits facilities/work sites to detect existing or potential injuries, health, and/or environmental hazards.
• Conducting internal audits as per the check list to ensure that all operations are executed within the set environmental stipulations.
• Overseeing the disposal of hazardous and non-hazardous waste safely and executing inspection programmed for all equipment and tools in the site.
• Preparing & Maintaining daily & Monthly HSE report & Statistics
• Other duties as requested and required.

20 Hi Rise residential towers of 15 floors each using Mayodan technology.
Salalpuria Greenage, Bangalore \{7 Hi Rise residential towers of 23 floors each using Myovan technology.
Responsible for conducting general HSE inspection on assigned project site.
•HSE information and advice for staffs and sub-contractors.
•Responsible for conducting general HSE inspections on the assigned project sites
•Conduct Induction program for employees & contract workers.
•Ensuring compliance in Site & Worker camps as per BOCWA.
•Ensuring all potentially hazardous work activities are controlled by a Permit to work system.
•Ensuring Blasting operation is commenced in compliance with Standard Safe Work Method Statement.
•Carry out inspection on House Keeping & Waste Disposal.
•Preparing & maintaining Daily and Monthly EHS Statistics
•Reporting of Safety observations.
•Ensuring Periodic inspection of all vehicles, Mobile heavy equipment’s & lifting equipment’s
•Conduct Mock Drills, & Fire Drills.
•Ensuring Tool Box talks are done on daily basis as per schedule.
•Monitoring Canteen and Food handlers for Hygiene and sanitation adherence
