Roles and Responsibilities:
Post contract consultancy Project Quantity Surveyor on the above project to administrate the commercial and contractual aspects of the project such as Cost Management & Contracts Administration including;
• Review the monthly payment applications and preparation of payment certificates
• Preparation of monthly project cost report/ financial report, progress report/ executive report
• Review/evaluation/negotiation/finalization of contemplated variations, identify the potential one, carry out estimation, and compute the extent of financial implication as well as appropriate time extension in coordination with the planning engineer.
• Administration of provisional sums including selection & appointment of NSC & suppliers.
• Organize various meetings such as commercial meetings, variation review meetings to discuss on the ongoing and forthcoming issues and preparation of minutes of meetings.
• Monitor the contractor’s performance to ensure compliance and fulfillment of contract conditions.
• Provide advice to project team related contractual and commercial issues.
• Drafting of contractual correspondences
• Review advance payment requisitions, performance bonds, retention bonds, insurances, nominated sub-contract/supplier agreements and other documents for respective compliance and accuracy.
• Evaluate and interpret main contract, NSC and supply conditions and obligations and advise project team on liabilities and risks under the contractual arrangements

Project : Duja Tower (Dubai), Park Hyatt Hotel (UAE), Viceory Hotel (Dubai), Bin Omar Hospital (UAE), Remraam Apartments, Dubai, New Doha International Airport (Qatar), Lusail Olympic Stadium (Qatar), Riyadh Housing complex (KSA), Wadi Al Asla (KSA) etc.
Roles and Responsibilities:
• I worked as a Third Party Audit for M/s. Dubai Properties for auditing the Statement at Completion for Remraam and Dubai Land infrastructure project and prepare the audit report.
• I worked as a Secondment Post Contract Quantity Surveyor for M/s. Faithful & Gould at Park Hyatt Hotel project to evaluate and finalize the Variations.
• I worked as a Secondment Post Contract Quantity Surveyor for M/s. Khatib & Alami at Remraam Apartments project to evaluate and finalize the Variations.
Additionally I have been handled Pre and Post Contract Quantity Surveying activities such as;
• Managing the pre contract team
• Preparation of cost plans and preliminary estimates for master plan development (Lusail Olympic Stadium (Qatar), Wadi Al Asla (KSA)
• Preparation of preliminary estimates, cost plans and pre-tender estimates for various project
• Preparation of tender documents including bill of quantities
• Preparation of contract documents
• Commercial evaluation of tender submissions and preparation of tender evaluation reports
• Review the monthly payment applications and preparation of payment certificates
• Preparation of monthly project cost report and progress report

Project : Nizwa -Thumrait Road Project - Package 2, Oman, Project value OMR 32 Million

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Administering of the monthly applications and pursuing payments
• Preparation of change management schedule, pricing and estimation of variations, extra works - evaluate, negotiate & agreeing with the consultant/Client and subcontractors
• Ensuring issuance and monitoring of validity of bonds, insurances... etc.
• Produce monthly cost reports, budgets, cost value reconciliations, cash flows etc.
• Formulating project cash flow, monitoring and management
• Drafting of contractual correspondences
• Procurement of sub-contract packages and administration of nominated and domestic subcontractors
• Administration of subcontractor variations, claims & progress payments
• Submission of timely notifications, preparation, submission and finalization of claims
• Attending meetings and liaising with stakeholders on commercial matters

Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist to the completion of accurate and high quality tender documentation for both local and international projects.
• Taking off quantities, preparing and compiling bills of quantities including preambles
• Assist to Sr. QS for preparation of preliminary estimates, cost plans and pre-tender estimates
• Preparation of tender documents and contract documents
• Assist to Sr. QS for evaluation of tender submissions and preparation of tender evaluation reports
• Review the monthly payment applications and preparation of payment certificates
• Preparation of monthly progress report
• Assist to the Chief QS for the arrangement of meetings and negotiations with nominated subcontractors and suppliers.

Position : Trainee Quantity Surveyor Sep. 2007 to July. 2008 (part time, during course period)
Duties and Responsibilities:
Preparation of monthly valuations, taking off quantities, preparation of bill of quantities, preparation of rate break downs, joint measurements, evaluation of sub contractors’ interim payment, preparation of material schedule & material reconciliation report, dealing with variations, day works and preparation of construction progress schedules.

Taking off quantities & preparation of Bills of Quantities, taking joint measurements with contractors, evaluation of sub-contractor’s valuation and preparation of payment certificates, unit rate analysis, calculation of material requirement for procurement process and material reconciliation for building and infrastructure projects.
