Underwriters Laboratories (7.2 Years):

• Good knowledge on Design, Construction, Functionality, Application, Testing, Certification of several makes of control gear and switchgear products - Contactors, thermal Overload relays, MCB, RCCB, RCBO, Isolators, SFU, Starters, Interlocks, ATS, MCCB, ACB, MPCB, VFD, Soft starters, Reactors, Capacitors, Transformers, Fuses, PLCs, Switches, Sockets, Receptacles and attachment plugs, Terminal Blocks etc.,
• Overall knowledge of testing, certification of Switchgear panels as per IEC 61439-1, UL 508A Standard.
• Gather Customer requirements, Techno commercial discussions, preparing the deliverables, Cost estimates and finalizing the order for Global projects
• Prepare the certification plan to meet Design and Development Schedules of customers. Identify Risks & Prepare Mitigation Plans. Work with cross functional teams in India and global and ensure the consistent process is followed throughout.
• Business development of MCB certification business to 300 k USD in one year.
• Mentor and Technical lead to team for high quality deliverables, solving day to day issues, convincing the customers, training to Customers on standards, products, panels, test requirements and procedures etc.,
• Assessment and Qualification of the client’s lab as per ISO/IEC 17025 Standard. Technical leader for the team that got NABL, BIS, CBTL Qualification for the UL India lab.
• Good Knowledge of Plastic standards, selectivity and Application of suitable grade.
• Development of Test Equipment and fixtures for the several products and expediting the test timelines at the External third party Labs - CPRI, ERDA, I2PS, Client’s Labs. Internal UL lab in India, UL affiliate Labs in other countries. .
• Thorough process, technical knowledge and good practical experience on different testing and certifications including : All UL Marks, CSA Marks, CB Certification, IS Type test report for BIS, CCC Mark, D Mark, CE Marking assistance for different directives, Type Examination Certificate, Type test report for PSE Mark, Gost R Mark etc.,
• Review of projects, identify the gap and take the appropriate certificate decision.
• Send Weekly update on Leads, Certification to Engineering Manager.
• Member of BIS Technical Committee.


ABB (3.3 Years) :

• Responsible for Incoming, Component, In-process, Final product quality
• NPI for A-Range Series of control gear products, MCB, Starters & Domestic Switches, Sockets.
• Development testing for the prototypes at in-house, External Labs & approval for production.
• Creating BOM in SAP system.
• Prototype testing at External lab (CPRI, ERDA, ETDC) as per IS/ IEC/EN standards, approval (BIS, CE, UL etc., ) & Certification for the LV switchgear Products -Contactors, Relay, MCB, D.O.L Starters, Miniature Circuit Breakers, Domestic switches etc.,
• ISI approval for domestic switches, Starters and MCB.
• Maintain Scheme of testing and inspection (STI) as per Bureau of Indian Standards - ISI for MCB, Contactors & Starters, Domestic Switches and Sockets.
• Development of Routine and type test benches for the Switchgear and control products for the Production
• Setting up of in-house Type testing laboratory for the Low Voltage controlgear products.
• Acting MR in ISO 9001:2000 surveillance & Re-certification audit.
• Thorough knowledge of Manufacturing process, setting up the Process control plan at each Manufacturing stage for the new products. Solving day to day issues in the assembly line & testing
• Create Process improvement in Manufacturing, Quality and Testing.
• Responsible for resolving customer complaints for the newly launched products.
• ROHS Compliance for switchgear products with ABB France.
