Kavin Engineering and Services Private Ltd-March 2020 to September 2020): Took lead and supervised the correct installation of Electrical items at Clients Gas Compressor Station site, during the challenging Covid 19 pandemic lockdown period. Also, reviewed and approved quality documents, carried out site inspection, online inspection of Electrical items prior to shipment, lead weekly review meetings with client, followed up and expedited contractors actions for project materials receipt and site work progress.

Project Expediting of Electrical, Instrumentation, Telecommunication, Piping items and Mechanical packages (GDU, Hot Oil, HP/LP Flare & Incinerator) for Tatweer Petroleums NAG LTFD Phase 1 project.

Responsibilities:

• Followed up, coordinated for release of Purchase requisitions, expedited technical evaluation and release of Purchase orders/change orders on vendors according priority for long lead items.
• Lead Kick of meeting with vendors, engineering, quality and logistics functions, communicated project specific documentation requirements, discussed schedule for completion of engineering, manufacturing and submission of progress reports.
• Monitored all open Purchase orders, expedited approval of all drawings & documents, followed up for submission of manufacturing schedule from vendors, reviewed and followed up key milestones for completion of stage wise production activities, tracked and ensured on time delivery of materials as per Project Schedule requirements.
• Closely followed up for issue of inspection notification by vendors, coordinated with Quality team for completion of timely inspection, expedited issue of Inspection Release Note (IRN).
• Issued Shipping Release Notes (SRNs), coordinated with vendors and logistics team for obtaining shipping documents, timely shipment of materials and tracked materials receipt at site.
• Reviewed, approved vendor invoices after checking and ensuring submission of supporting documents as per purchase order and followed up for release of their payments.
• Resolved and closed site ESD issues (excess, shortages, damages) related to materials received.

Achievements: a. Ensured on time delivery of materials and followed up for release of vendors payments as per PO terms. b. Supported materials team for obtaining the required due diligence documents from vendors.

Desk Expediting of Electrical, Instrumentation, Telecommunication and bulk items for ZADCOs UZ750 Islands Surface Facilities Project EPC2.

Responsibilities:

• Initiated post order communication with vendors, issued communication protocol along with project specific document formats to be followed by vendors for drawings and documents preparation, expedited submission of Vendor Document Requirement List (VDRL), General arrangement drawings, technical data sheets, Inspection and Test Plan(ITP), painting procedure, packing procedure, preservation procedure, Performance bank bond/guarantee, Manufacturing Record Book(MRB), MRB index, etc.
• Arranged kick of meeting with vendors, project team and client ZADCO.
• Followed up and expedited approval of drawings and documents.
• Monitored and tracked all open orders, updated periodically work progress in Petrocept Procurement Control System (PPCS) and reported Project progress and concerns/issues to senior management.
• Expedited issue of inspection notification by vendors, followed up for completion of timely inspection, obtained inspection reports and expedited issue of Inspection Release Note (IRN) by Quality team.
• Issued Shipping Release Note (SRN) to vendors, arranged all documents required by Logistics team for multimode shipment of materials as per PO INCOTERMS.

Achievements:

Successfully managed on time delivery of EIT items, viz, Batteries, UPS, Emergency Diesel Generators, Dry type Transformers, Cable Trays, Local Control Stations, LV Distribution Boards & Light Fixtures.

Worked in Quality Engineering Department of Eskom, conducted supplier audits, evaluated feasibility of Energy efficiency, Lighting & Load shifting projects for Integrated Demand Management (IDM), reviewed & approved Quality documents (Quality Control Plan, Inspection and Test Plan) and visited Lethabo Power Station with solar power plant of 575kW capacity.

Lead and developed a team for Inspection of electrical items, resolved & closed quality issues / non conformances reported by sites, initiated, implemented and tracked Corrective & Preventive Action (CAPA) by suppliers, measured & monitored Supplier Quality performance based on Quality, Delivery & Response, supported Materials & Engineering team for carrying out supplier qualification, approval, supplier evaluation & audits, identified gaps in processes and systems and took actions for continual improvement.

Products handled: Medium Voltage Switchgear, EHV Instrument Transformers (CTs, CVTs), High Voltage Capacitor Banks, Generator Circuit Breakers, EHV Circuit breakers, EHV Disconnectors, Control & Relay Panels and PLCC.

Responsibilities:

• Review of Technical Specification, Single Line Diagram, Estimation, Bill of Materials and Ofer preparation
• Achieving order booking, revenue and collection targets.
• Providing technical Inputs to Factory for engineering drawings preparation for Medium Voltage Switchgear
• Timely submission of engineering documents (drawings, technical data sheets, Type Test reports, Quality Assurance Plan) to customers
• Follow up and expediting engineering approvals from customers and consultants
• Resolution of customer complaints to achieve customer satisfaction.
