Advanced Supply Chain Planning - Analyzing all the Planned Orders/Purchase requisitions (suggested by ORACLE ASCP ) based on the Material Lead Times, Preferred Suppliers and Suppliers Past Performance. Identifying the exceptions (if any) related to Planned Orders/Purchase requisitions and coordinating/following up with relevant Department(s) to satisfy the Demand Due Date and ensure smooth Supply & Demand relationship.
Requisition Analysis - Analyzing the purchase request from End User Department(s) and determine the appropriate method of procurement, Quotation, Tender and Request for Proposal.
Forecasting & Planning - Forecasting likely levels of demand for services and products based on historical data and currently monthly average by maintaining healthy stock levels to meet the business needs and maximize business efficiency.
Market Analysis - Conducting research to ascertain the best products and suppliers in terms of best value, delivery schedules and quality. Identifying potential suppliers and visiting existing suppliers to maintain good business relationships and maximize Company’s growth.
Performance Monitoring - Coordinating with internal departments regarding their monthly performance and submitting Departmental report to Top Management highlighting key areas of improvement.
Production Planning - Setting targets for production items based on Production Capacity of individual sections and evaluating overall Factory performance based on Man-hours, equipment and machinery.
Projects Handling/Management - Creating and delivering project work plans based on demand/forecast and feeding the system with project timelines for efficient and smooth implementation of Projects.
- Ensure Compliance to Procurement Policies - Monitoring the purchasing functions as per PTCL policies, procedures and standards.
- Development of RFP/RFQ strategy- Initiation of Procurement process after the receipt of Purchase Requisition from End-User Department. Preparation/Drafting of RFP/RFQ after complete analysis of Purchase Requisition including clear scope of work, technical specifications/criteria, required quantity, proposed bidder(s) (for limited or proprietary procurement) and general, specific or special terms and conditions (if required).
- Data Analysis & Record Keeping - To track, evaluate and report the flow of monthly purchases and compliance of methods/metrics for effective monitoring of purchasing activities.
- Provide Assistance / Collaboration - To assist in supplier/vendor sourcing and auditing in order to identify potential vendors and track performance of existing suppliers to ensure a good business relation with suppliers/vendors to secure favorable terms for PTCL.
- Creation of Purchase Order- Issuance/creation/modification of Purchase Order in SAP to technically and commercially qualified bidder as per the Management’s approval. To obtain budget (OPEX/CAPEX) confirmation from the end-user/Project Director prior to issuance of Purchase Order for timely payment to bidder.
- Pre/Post Supply Inspection of Goods- To arrange and obtain nominations from the concerned Regional GMs and Quality Assurance department for testing/inspection of Goods offered/delivered by Supplier.
- Procurement Cycle Implementation- To ensure complete implementation of Procurement Cycle as per policies and guidelines provided in Procurement Manual starting from the receipt of Purchase Requisition till the delivery of materials to the respective site(s)/store(s) and finalization of all Contractual Obligations.
- Equipment Designing & Modification - To keep the BEU up to date by designing the boards with new chips having latest software and making sure that the new design is compatible with the old one. Significantly got involved in development of Quad E1 board and Arm-9 based Ethernet Encryption Board.
- Heading the Testing Department - To lead the testing staff, perform various tests and guide them on regular basis.
- Research - To explore latest trends, new FPGAs, relevant CAD Packages and look for the modern techniques employed to compete the market.
- Reports & Documentation - To make weekly report of projects and units along with the technical documentation of BEU Manuals and research work.
