Total years of experience :10 years, 9 Months
The Numediart Institute organizes internationally-renowned scientific training and research activities in the area of cultural and creative industries. I worked on the European Research Project i-treasures "Capturing the Intangible Cultural Heritage and Learning the Rare Know-How of Living Human Treasures" within a european team and leaded several tasks.
Main objectives:
* Gestural know-how capture and analysis,
* Definition of functional specifications and user expectations,
* Participation to the definition and development of educational scenarios,
* Research and development of algorithms for expert gesture analysis and recognition,
* Project management and administrative support
Gipsa-lab is a multidisciplinary research unit developing both basic and applied researches on complex signals and systems. Gipsa-lab is internationally recognized for the research achieved in Automatic Control, Signal and Images processing, Speech and Cognition.
Objective:
Realization of a system able to understand the environment and estimate the position of different objects in 3D environment :
* Collect 3D data from the environment using a 3D depth sensor
* Develop algorithms for object detection and segmentation
* Use powerful GPU processors in order to make the processing faster and to allow the integration within a mobile robot.
Real-time Motion Recognition and Motion Quality Assessment: Conception, realization and validation of a real-time motion recognition methodology, based on skeleton tracking data, taking into account the recognition or characterization of the motion « quality » or motion « style ». Analysed motions will be traditional and contemporary dance motions, recorded in the framework of the i-Treasures project using both markerless motion capture techniques (depth cameras) and optical motion capture systems. [To be finished by the end of 2017]
