As a Safety Assistant, I am responsible for coordinating Permit to Work (PTW) activities, verifying workers' documents and certifications, conducting safety inductions for new employees, and maintaining accurate safety records and documentation. My role includes preparing weekly and monthly reports, managing data entry, monitoring permit registers, conducting fire extinguisher inspections, and ensuring compliance with company safety procedures and regulatory requirements. I work closely with the HSE team to support daily site operations and promote a safe working environment. During my career, I progressed from a Building Labourer to a Safety Assistant through dedication and consistent performance. I also earned the IOSH Managing Safely certification, which strengthened my knowledge of occupational health and safety, while developing strong skills in documentation, Microsoft Excel, administrative coordination, and record management.
