Gulf Chemicals and Industrial Oils Company, Dammam, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, from May 2010 to present;
➢ Presently, I'm working at following sections,
➢ Vacuum Distillation of diesel and Kerosene to produce raw white spirit, drilling oil and Transformer oil. And after distillation sent to further section for further processes.
➢ Liquid Liquid Extraction to remove aromatics contents from Drilling Oil, with the use of NMP (Normal Methyl Pyrolidon) and Heptane. After removal of aromatics to recover NMP from system Heptane used as recovery agent through a managed recovery system.
PLC and DCS systems installed to operate the section
➢ Sulfonation Of Raw white spirit, further washing and neutralization process in different columns. Sulfonation is done through sulphuric acid and furtherly its neutralized and washed to maintain PH, color and odor according to ASTM standards.
➢ My responsibilities are to operate plant according to standard operation procedures.
➢ Taking readings from all local parameters.
➢ To prepare area for maintenance work.
➢ Work according to the safety rules and regulations of the safety department.
➢ Isolation of different types of pumps, controllers, etc for maintenance and start up after maintenance.

I worked at Olympia chemicals limited as plant operator in following fields and sections,
➢ Carbonating towers
Carbonation of ammoniated brine in a carbonated towers to produce ammonium chloride and sodium carbonate for further processes. To operate process according to SOP
➢ Ammonia Absorber
To absorb ammonia according to standard process requirement, and deliver to further sections for further processes.
Commissioning and Start up;
I took part in commsioning and Start up of different plant units including,
➢ CO2 Gas scrubber
➢ Kerosen and Diesel Distillation Coloumns
➢ Sulphonation, washing and neutalization columns.
➢ Start up commissioning of Whole Unit of Vacuum Distillation including Coloumns, Heat Exchangers, Aero Condensers. Vacuum pumps, Furnace.
➢ Ammonia Distiller
➢ Extraction and Regeneration Coloumns for NMP.
➢ Heptane Strippers

➢ Shift take over - review with outgoing shift control operator the activities of the previous shift such as deviations from normal operating standards, gas flow and pressure variations etc. to ensure that continuing problems are handled as necessary.
➢ Monitor process parameters and control within defined limits and take the necessary corrective action in case of emergencies or equipment breakdown to ensure the uninterrupted operation.
➢ Follow all relevant operational procedures and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.
