Automation is mostly error free. That is why in International Hospital of Bahrain, we are able to establish a paperless and filmless system.

• Pricing is based on costing, whereas costing in Health care is complex and complicated. My second focus area is arriving at accurate costing, which will assist in fixing the right pricing.

• Health Insurance companies are becoming part of the survival of Health care industries. In order to have a win-win situation with them, I was instrumental in creating a system which helps both the Hospital and Insurance companies, where in the system flows smoothly.

• One of the objectives of my present organisation is growth and expansion. Hence, there is constant need for capital investments on Medical Equipments and Construction. We do proper feasibility study and project reports before entering into any development and expansion. I deal with banks and equipment suppliers and negotiate with them to arrange for facilities for all these capital investments.

• My major strong hold is in cash flow management. Health care is manpower oriented industry, wherein we have to make huge monthly payments on time. On top of it we have the banking commitments and pharmaceutical payments. All of these have to be well planned for smooth running of the organisation.

• Apart from contributing to the administrative and financial management of the Hospital, I am also looking after the group wealth all over the world. I consolidated all the properties of Hospital and family properties and brought them all under one umbrella in a Holding company with over $ 600 million of assets. I look after that holding company affairs. We have properties in overseas countries and they are under some off-shore companies and I manage those off-shore companies too.


Twenty one years ago joined as Junior Finance Manager, promoted to Financial Controller, then appointed as Finance Director and elevated to Vice President Finance & Treasurer in the Hospital. Additionally holding the position of Director in the Holding Company formed in 2009, which owns the Hospital and various other companies and many properties all over the world.

Oversee all aspects of Managerial, Financial and Treasury operations of the Holding company and the Hospital. Provide Professional leadership for a team of Two Directors and Four Managers to meet business needs for the group with $ 30 million annual turnover and enhancing the wealth of the group. Serving as financial advisor to the President and the Medical Director.

Key Contribution & Results:

• Through consolidation, merger and revaluation increased the wealth of hospital and group from $ 13 million to $530 million in the last twenty one years.
• Served as the key member of the Governing Board, which successfully increased the revenue over the fourteen years by 300%.
• Preparation of project reports and feasibility studies for Capital Investment and Capital intensive Medical equipments and for expansions.

• Overseeing all the operations of the Group companies and properties, which are scattered in UK, Isle of Man, Egypt, Philippines, Lebanon and Kingdom of Bahrain.
• Instrumental and part of the System Planning and Implementation team of Integrated IT system, which is currently a paperless and filmless system.
