Duties Involved:
• Conducting cardiopulmonary bypass through effective communication with surgeon, anesthesiologist and other team members.
• Abiding to the policies and procedures of the institute.
• Documenting all the intra operative management data.
• Ensuring high quality sterility techniques.
• Carrying out joint preventive maintenance for the heart lung machine, Intra aortic balloon pump, Cell saver, CDI 500 Inline blood monitor, Myocardial Perfusion system, Heater cooler Unit, safety systems(level sensors, pressure sensors and air detector) with the biomedical engineers.
• Ordering and maintaining stock required for all kind of cardiac cases.
• Involving in the regular appraisal and actively participating in Mortality and morbidity meeting.
• Maintain service user records & other records according to the department policies and procedures.

• Formulating the best strategy of perfusion management discussing with surgeon and anesthesiologist and other team members.
• Covering 24 hours on call duty.
• Maintaining daily checklist for all the perfusion equipments.
• Following all the standard perfusion protocols.
• Assisting with the Cell saver machine for the cell salvaging in the major orthopedic surgeries.
