• Obtain and maintain a thorough understanding of the financial reporting and general ledger structure
• Preparation, study, and analysis of accounting records and financial statements
• Monitor expenditure levels, allocation of expenses, and support monthly analysis
• Controls and operates cash and bank accounts in accordance to company policies and regulations and local banking practices
• Assist in auditing activities by providing necessary information and preparing requested documentations
• Perform financial analysis and reporting to management as needed
• Coordination and preparation of the annual budgeting, forecasts, creating operating budgets, and development of business financial models and consolidation
• Preparation of monthly financial results of all business units, including reporting of P&L, balance sheet and supplementary information through the group reporting system
• Preparation and analysis of reports that related to responsibility centers for all business units, including analytical reports by cost centers
• Reviews & revises accounting transactions for accuracy and conformance to policies & procedures, and follow-up of the affiliated companies accounts
• Perform audit procedures, including identifying issues & recommendations, reviewing and analyzing relevant information, evaluating evidence, and completing audit documentation
• Liaise with external auditors / PWC Company, EY Company, Nexia International
• Contribute to coordination with relevant partners, suppliers, authorities and stakeholders
• Monitor & interpret cash flows and predict future trends
• Study the finance structure of the company and provide the necessary funds to finance the operational & investment company processes continually
• Supervision on implementation of the financial system and selection of appropriate accounting policies to the company & nature of its operations
• Ensure the monthly and quarterly bank compliance activities are performed in a timely and accurate manner
• Coordination with other departments within company, and assist in development and implementation of new procedures & features to enhance the workflow of the company
• Advises staff regarding the handling of non-routine reporting transactions, and provide training to new & existing staff as needed
• Keeping abreast of changes in financial regulations and legislations
• Knowledge of labor law & taxation in Syria, and supervision of the taxes calculation process according to the applicable laws & regulations
• Preparation of the periodic financial & statistical reports and audited for submitted to senior management & regional office
• Preparation, signature and providing of financial statements to Commission of Financial Markets & Securities / CFMS
