- Conducting Advocacy: Representing LSBF at all Small Claims Hearings. Part 36 Offers Calderbank Offers; draft and negotiate terms of Settlement and Release Agreements
- Employment Law and Practice: Managing Contentious and Non Contentious Issues, advising HR Department where necessary. This involved drafting ET3's, preparing bundles for hearings, the preparation of skeleton arguments, drafting witness statements and advocacy for low value matters
- Conducting legal research for ad hoc projects
This role encompassed a wide range of tasks namely opening new matters and conducting the requisite research to ensure that the elements of the new case are not in conflict with a matter which we have dealt with in the past. The firm operates on a set code of practice that must be adhered to, thus an element of my role required that I ensure that all work conducted by myself and members of my team are in compliance with this practice. Having gained a substantial amount of experience, I have been given further responsibility to train new members of staff for different roles within the firm ranging from archiving, front of house, billing/invoice processing, floor support and the post room. Another part of my role is drafting letters for fee earners to be sent to various parties such as clients and other solicitors and preparing files for auditing.

- Calculate the amount of charges/rebate the creditor is believed to owe, thus determining the value of a case
