In BAT(British American Tobacco) GSD,
My designation is the SAP Netweaver Portal Design Authority in Corporate Services Solution Center based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
Mainly responsible for all developments and Business Releases on the SAP Portal for the BAT Business. These involve SAP Netweaver 7.3 as well as SAP Netweaver 7.01 versions of SAP AS Java.
The modules being used in BAT are BI(Reports), HR(ESS/MSS), PPM(Project and Portfolio Management) for New Products being launched by BAT, SCM(APO), SRM(Vendor Management), Team Rooms/Collaboration and underlying TREX Search Engine, Third party solutions like OrgPublisher, Global Learning Zone(Training and Event Management).
Portal Administration and managing developments and auditing the source codes being worked upon by Support Center(L2) are the major responsibilities since Webdynpro Java developments was handled specifically by me. Portal Content development and User Administration is also a part of my Job profile.
Managerial tasks such as preparing Capacity management procedures, Business Release plans, Business Continuity Plans, Migration of Portal 7.0 to Portal 7.3, Data Center Migration plans, User Management Consolidation plans are a part of the job profile.
In IBM,
I was the SAP Netweaver Portal Team Lead for the One AMUL Implementation.
Publishing for reports on BI via role upload, creating users, roles, worksets, groups were my primary responsibility.
Also ESS/MSS services were configured on the SAP portal and was a major task handled.
I was also responsible for tracking all open issues from all the respective modules and easing the closure of the same on a timely basis so that the SLAs of the issues do not get breached.
In Essar Group,
I was involved in two full implementations and one support using ERP2005 HCM. I have implemented Employee Self Service(ESS) and Manager Self Service(MSS) during my tenure. I have completed working on Portal Implementation for Kenya(Essar Telecom Kenya(Yu)Ltd.).
I was also part of implementations of SAP HR and ESS/MSS in ESSAR Group and Essar Steel Indonesia.
