Dear Sir,

I am working with SULZER Chemtech India ltd., in the role of Senior Manger CFD / FEA for the last 6 years with overall industry experience of 18 years in CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) and FEA.
As design engineer my job is to assess, evaluate the hydraulic performance and mechanical integrity check of the Horizontal and vertical Column internals especially the separating devices like Mist-eliminator, Mesh-pad, Coalescer pack, Perforated Baffle and various type of Feed Inlet devices like vane type inlet devices as per the guidelines of Shell Dp or as per the Sulzer design guidelines.
Performed CFD studies of the multiphase flow simulation for gas-liquid, liquid-liquid and gas-liquid-liquid separation for application of horizontal multiphase 3 phase separator vessels (of 10meter to 22-meter length), WOSEP vessels (of approx. 25meter to 50-meter length), LP and HP Production Separator for the flow regime subjected to stratified flow, annular flow and slug flow of various length for the upstream application. Design and execute the very high momentum pressure slug load studies with modified inlet devices, attachments to tension ring bar without weld to column and nozzle rings.
Similarly performed various separation studies for the vertical column separator with inlet devices like GIRZ, vane type inlet devices subjected to very high momentum pressure in application to downstream.
Successfully execute the several projects like Majnoon-Sep, BASRAH-Upgrade, NFPS Compression, SGWH Revamp, BuHassir, BelBazem, JaFura etc. Performed one-way coupled FSI (Fluid Structure Interaction) and FIV (Flow Induced Vibration) to verify the mechanical integrity of the vessel internals subjected to very high momentum pressure and within the design rules comply to Sulzer guidelines.
Support revamp projects for the downstream application like HP Flare KOD, LP Flare KOD, VDU Column, Absorber Column, TEG Column, Fractionator by optimizing the column internals design like Twin-Box, Z type or V type in order to satisfy the hydraulic performance as per the client criteria.
Execute several projects for vessel / column internals subjected to very high motion condition for the offshore platform like FPSO, FLNG where very high ocean currents deteriorate the process criteria for this vessel and may cause high mal distribution hence not suitable for desired heat and mass transfer. Using tools like 3D-CFD / FEA tools design solution was provided satisfying the very high and stringent process requirement. Design solutions are provided to internals like Liquid Distributor, Liquid Collector, 3-Phase separator vessel etc. for the projects like SHELL Mars, Tortumeg, ScarBorough2 etc.

Earlier worked with GE, to perform CFD of hydraulic turbines and static components using Analysis Led Design concept to predict flow rate & pressure drop for manifold and rotor blade torque calculation using single and multiphase flow analysis with MRF.

Post-processing of CFD results to map pressure profiles along turbine blade domain for FSI analysis.

Provide test procedure, specification of operating points to test-team for model test validation. Post-processing of the test-results by building the Hill-Charts and comparisons with CFD results with scope of improvement, recommendation and further action plans.

Use of primavera to analyze the critical path of the project based on WBS. Also assist fellow colleagues in technical front, training new graduates during induction and acquitted them with product organization structure.

Partly involve in future technology road map. Little exposure to air-craft engines valves, actuators, air turbine starters

Joined Mahindra & Mahindra as PGET in Aero-thermal Mgmt. group, to carry out vehicle front flow analysis, fuel tank filling / sloshing using VOF, in-cylinder simulation using Ansys Fluent, ‘Star-CD_Es-Ice’ code.

Map the pressure curve for four cycle and temperature variation along the cylinder liner as an input to carry out cooling water jacket analysis of Engine Head & Block.

Performed Conjugate heat transfer (CHT) study of Engine head and block to determine the low HTC zones by resolving thermal boundary layer.

Pressure drop reduction design optimization study across the muffler, AIS. Flow assessment of EGR system, HVAC study of ‘AC’ ducting system to assess the flow distribution inside the vehicle domain.

Dear Sir, My-self Sourabh Nandi, done my BE and ME in Mechanical Engineering with specialization in 'Jet Propulsion and Gas Turbine' from MS University of Baroda in 2006. Done my ME dissertation project in NAL with project name 'CFD code validation with experimental performance of Centrifugal compressor.' In this study a backward Swept blade of 30degree was simulated at design and off-design speed to obtain performance characteristics in terms of Total-to-total pressure ration and Static to Total pressure ratio with normalized flow rate which was compared with the available experimental results. CFD Ace+ was used as solver and CFD GEOM for geometry preparation and mesh generation. Joined as PGET in Mahindra & Mahindra in 2006 at Aerothermal Management division to analyze the pressure drop study of AIS, exhaust system, CHT study of exhaust manifold, EGR study of Intake manifold, assessment of swirling flow from intake valve, in cylinder simulation, fuel tank filling and sloshing study, front end flow analysis.
