MANDATE:

Hired to lead the end‑to‑end migration of the firm's global visualization platform to AWS, moving beyond lift‑and‑shift to a modern, refactored architecture. Tasked with improving security posture, reducing costs, and building a resilient, sustainable cloud foundation.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Lead a team of 15 associate architects and cloud engineers, conducting architecture reviews, code quality assessments, and mentoring sessions.
• Design and implement cloud infrastructure using Terraform, ensuring repeatable, auditable, and compliant deployments.
• Partner with security, finance, and application teams to align cloud strategy with business objectives and regulatory requirements.

ACHIEVEMENTS:

• Architected and executed migration of 50+ applications to AWS, refactoring monoliths to serverless architectures. Reduced infrastructure costs by 30% and improved deployment velocity by 2x through Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) and automated CI/CD pipelines.
• Strengthened security posture by implementing organization‑level Service Control Policies (SCPs), AWS WAF, and Network Firewall, ensuring PCI-DSS compliance for a critical data masking application hosted on Lambda.
