DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Check incoming and outgoing Drawing for possible upgrading/rectification of system as per Client Project requirements.
Estimating and Material Take-Off and compilation of Material Submittal for Consultant/Client approval.
Execution of various mechanical power piping works, fabrication, assembly and erection such as (Chilled Water System, Refrigerant Piping, Compressed Air, Fire Suppression System, Fire Fighting Piping works, Fuel Line, Pneumatic & Hydraulic System, Waste Water Recycle System, Drainage System, Domestic Water Line) and Supervising detailed engineering works for aboveground and below ground services.
Check Air duct fabrication, assembly, installation and insulation conforming to ASHRAE & SMACNA standards for conventional and industrial purpose.
Mechanical equipment installation such as Chillers, Pumps, Diesel & Electric fire pump, Heat Exchanger, Split type & Package type AC units, AHU, Fans and Blowers, Dehumidifier, Sewage Pump & other rotating equipment.
Conduct pipe and air duct leak testing, water & air flow balancing as per design requirements.
Prepare plan layout for pipes and air duct system as well as control valves arrangement compliance to standards & local regulators.
Coordinate to different services to avoid conflict in the performance of the project & establish solutions to consultant comments.
Actively monitor work progress such that risk & problem areas are identified, reported & solutions identified early in the project phase.
Ensure that the work is carried out in a professional manner & in compliance with applicable contracts, company policies, values & relevant laws regulations.
Coordinate & participate in safety related studies and delivering mechanical works project on time.
Checking mechanical equipment, schedule v/s design requirements.
Review & prepare technical shop drawings (proposed detailed hands-on drafting) for approval prior for implementation.
Review & prepare coordination plan and As-Built drawings.
Preparing Operations & Maintenance Manual and its approval.
Highlighting & clarifying discrepancies with the Clients/design in coordination of the superiors.
Conducting inspections for all the completed mechanical works in coordination with Consultant.
Static Pressure calculations for AHU’s & Exhaust fans.
Mechanical Equipment selection based on pressure losses and building loads.
Preparing and submitting O&M manuals for the installed equipments.
Quantity take-off and costing for Tendering and Bidding document.
Preparing BOQ from tender drawings and forwarding it to PM and commercial department for latest price inputs.
Providing tender and quotation documentation, from design specifications for extensions, variation order, modernization, rehabilitation and refurbishment work, for submission by the in house workforce, subcontractors or external resources.
Project Quantity Surveying and Cost Monitoring.
Taking inputs from engineers and preparing daily reports and weakly reports.
Preparing and developing methods of planning and monitoring procedures on various contracts, ensuring that the data collected can be used as a monitoring tool.
Verifying inspection approvals and coordinating with QA/QC and engineers if the inspections are incomplete.
Preparing logs for inspection approvals based on department and updating it regularly in accordance with Mechanical ITP’s.
Preparing monthly evaluations for void works, providing clear, accurate and timely splits for improvement/repair elements assessment within the process.
Preparing and submitting monthly progress payments & Final Accounts.
Site coordination with client for any discrepancies in monthly progress payment and settlement of final assessment of progress payment.
Preparing financial feasibility reports for identified programmed works.
Undertaking valuations and ensure payments for contracted services are claimed / made in accordance with the Trust’s standing orders and financial regulations.
Surveying the site and issuing Material Request to Project Manager with respect to the design specifications.
Consulting Project Manager and Design Engineer on regular basis for any updates on design specifications.
Maintaining Delivery Orders and keeping record of materials used and in store.
Coordinating with other departments such as Civil, Architects, Electrical and Fire & Safety department on regular basis for any plan approval.
Verifying and analyzing technical drawings and installing the units.
Coordinating with piping and ducting technician for proper execution, maintenance of quality and schedule of work.
Communicating with client for any issues and finding a suitable solution.
Assigning technician for commissioning and testing of units.
